That much of a difference means your MMR is incredibly high for your rank. MMR matches based on skill, and doesn't give a shit about rank.

its not based on RANK but MMR , the gold players could be on losing streaks with shit mmr and he could have a high mmr cuz of winning and being in promos.

but no one knows the true mmr but riot

and if you win vs people of higher mmr it makes your mmr better

Your MMR must be high.

The same thing happened to me when I hit 100 LP at bronze 1. I got matched with gold players., won and instantly skipped promos. Since then my LP gains have been stupidly high and I have never had to play a promotion series through the whole of silver.
