Having to wait months for some champions to be barely playable for like 2 weeks until they get tuned back down just feels sickening when the more popular champions get soooo much more attention. You are actually punished for having different taste than most people in this meta...

Edit: I find it hilarious that some people in the comments are talking like this situation is relatable, while mentioning that they are playing an already incredibly popular champion. Even themselves don't seem to understand what its really like to cherish an ACTUALLY unpopular champion since they believe they are in the same situation...

It's not that shaco is necessarily weak, he just isn't satisfying to play and needs changes in his kit to better reflect his trickster theme. This is mostly to do with his E being an all around terrible ability.

As a Sona player, I rarely call for nerfs but for a whole rework.

She has the potential to be such a cool bard like (bard as in music not bard as in Bard ) but Riot wants to keep her as this one-dimensional poke machine. Don't get me wrong, I love her, but when she's strong she seems too strong and when she's weak she just feels so bad to play.

Tahm kench mains didn't ask to be shoved into toplane, not with the current power shift in his kit, back when he was first released primarily as a solo laner he was meant to actually stall the game as much as possible in order to get his points into his R (where his damage used to come from)

Now tahm gets that damage early game but he was also turned back into a solo laner….he has the same kit except for a lot more damage early game and almost nothing late game which is why he is so oppressive in lane.

Seriously, he was DESIGNED to be as annoying as possible / be functional without being able to deal damage, he was never intended to be a lane winner/bully, he was the exact opposite, if not, a counter to them.

We didn't ask for this, we didn't want this, even if this is the strongest tahm has ever been in years.

Don't forget the favorites get all the skins, lore and videos. Vice skins? better give them to iconic champs like Garen and popular champs like Lucian . We need a big lore thing? better make it about Yasuo and Riven . New high quality video for this season? Who's that I see blowing wind in the background? Ain't Janna , that's for sure. It's because of how hard Riot focuses on favorites we'll never get to see things like MonkeyKing , Ivern and Kassadin taking on TahmKench , Urgot and Malzahar in a "New Dawn" like video. We won't get a big lore even focusing on DrMundo and his exploits. Only skins Udyr or Xerath will get are skins that Riot would consider safe and "thematic". Meanwhile forcing players to pay 100+ bucks for a chroma of KDA Ahri just cause they know people will pay for it. To make things worse, that money doesn't go toward giving decent skins to less fortunate champs. That goes right into the NEXT Ahri skin seeing as they can get away with saying "she didn't get a skin, the prestige skin doesn't count".

They got amazing champions and badass for truth as you did mention from Wukong to Urgot to Illaoi but ofcouse we got to deal with the shit that is favorite and money grabbing or eyes grabbing ( Kaisa MissFortune etc) while the true bad ass champions stay in the shadow.

Like for an damn example according to lore , Urgot is a fear monster that isn't crying teenager with self problems like Riven , MonkeyKing is a true fighter with a spirit of a warrior not just a damn dancer like Irelia and there is more of that to be seen.

XD I'd be happy if Zac finally got that suit. That's something I'd happily spend 10 gemstones and such for it. Dont get me wrong, purple tentacles are fun, swim trunks goggles and blue water body with effects are neat. Might as well throw in a baby urf! Oh! SKT won with him, turn him red, give him gloves and a helmet with obnoxious metal sound effects. Still need more diversity? Let's turn his classic into 3 new colors to play with as desired.

Theres a great many champs who havent seen a new skin in years. Listing them would be tiresome, but I do agree that there should be more diversity of both skin themes and champs who get skins as well as a diversity of who I get to fight against.

Like I swear, I've seen enough Ezreal/Lux and Vayne/Thresh bot lanes on the enemy side to get through several rank divisions and back. Not that I havent enjoyed blasting people with Lux ult or hooking someone with Thresh. I just grow tired of fighting with or against them again and again. That's a rant for another thread though.

Zac is one of the more difficult champions 2 do skins for tho with his unique squishy physique and animations he's kinda complex, dont get me wrong sure the fact that he's not popular doesn't help, but the way he IS just adds another reason.

garen is a champion who existed since before season 1, and he got his legendary 8 years later, when some like darius already have two legendaries, and a mythic skin, and some others have legendaries and an ultimate.

I used to main nocturne and akali. Now I barely play the game anymore except for tft.

I quit playing akali after Riot gave RicklessAbandon her mini rework, where he shredded everything I liked about her (she felt smooth to play). Then Riot reworked her, continuing on the dumb direction RicklessAbandon took, despite many of his reworks being reverted and him actually being fired. Nowadays I don’t even bother looking at or trying akali. She just isn’t the same champion and has none of the strengths of the old akali.

Nocturne’s last patch was in 8.13, just over a year ago now. That patch happened to be a significant nerf, by the way, he lost 3 base AD and lost 0.3 AD scaling from his ult. His last real buff was in 5.17 where his ult gained some extra range.

He has a 1.5% pickrate with a 47-48% winrates, and his mains have on average a 47% winrate. Riot has furthermore “fixed” crit itemization by making it completely rotate around ADC’s, making him garbage because that was the best itemization for him. Lethality makes him fall off because he only has 2 AD scaling damaging skills. Bruiser he is simply not comparable to the alternatives.

There were and are several things they could do to make him playable, but Riot cares so little for him that he was bugged to lose his unit collision passive when he had phantom dancer for over a year, they’re not going to magically remember he exists. Then, when they finally get around to reworking I can happily kiss the champion I know and love good bye because you can bet they will put some gimmick into him and completely overturn his thematic. Because that’s what reworks are for, right?

Edit: thanks for the downvotes. How dare I dislike that one of my champions was reworked into something else while my other champion is unviable garbage.

Good question. It had a lot to do with him insulting players on twitter, an odd SJW type of behavior, refusal to communicate with mains or players of champions he was working on while joking about them. He was responsible for the Rengar rework, the Leblanc Rework, the Akali mini rework, a lot of work on Karma, and a few others, but those three are by far his most notable.

The bias was obvious. He also worked on Ahri and I remember that he had THREE potential mini reworks for her that they said they wanted to see what Ahri players thought of. The Leblanc, Rengar, and Akali changes just appeared and were pushed despite nobody wanting them/thinking they were a good idea. In the process he actually used his twitter to occasionally trashtalk the players who complained about his ideas and balance changes. Older Karma mains also have it out for him because he is essentially the reason why Karma is as bland and uninteractive as today.

I’ve done a lot of digging but it appears that Riot and he have done a lot of work to clear up much of what he said and did. You can still find a lot of complaints about his work in history but it’s really hard to find out the exact things he said that lead up to his being fired. Essentially he insulted a ton of players and then pointed fingers at both Riot and the players for being a patriarchy yada yada yada. Basically self destructed.

I guess I’ll post again because I got downvote bombed for suggesting that my champion was not treated fairly.

Nocturne’s last skin was released April of 2016, which was a 750 rp skin. The skin prior to that was released in December of 2012, eternum Nocturne. He has received 10 buffs since his inception in March of 2011, with a few being reverted and a few being met with worse nerfs, not to mention having bugs that have not been fixed in years. His biggest buff ever was 30 seconds off his ultimate cooldown at rank 1 in early season 5, down from 180 to 150. Some other notable buffs that are relatively recent are +5 damage to Q, +5 AD while on trail (ignoring the fact that he had his base AD reduced by a bunch), +0.15 AP scaling on passive.

He has a 1.5% pickrate with a 47% winrate. Ten buffs in 8 years and 4 months. 3 skins released in total aside from his release skins.

I understand your frustration with that situation, but Nocturne is one of the big VGU candidates. This is just the fate of this unfortunate squad.

Before his rework, Urgot's last skin was 5-6 years ago. He also just had 2 skins since his release in 2010. His pick- and winrate were also kinda bad before it. Nocturne is simply in the same position like the other VGU tier 1 list champions, they usually won't get alot of love when it comes to skins. So I guess all you can hope for is that his VGU comes as soon as possible, so he can start to get the attention he deserves.

What's worse is that waiting usually ends in your favorite champion getting deleted and replaced with a new, more shiny, but completely different champion.
