Can Riot just face some reality?

Let's be honest--how often do you see games where a Shyv or a Lux or a Zed (and others) does bad? Sure they may not win because they have a lousy team, but for the most part, I never see them not pulling their weight and then some.

Riot has yet to figure out the relative values of damage, cc and mobility and tankiness. How much is one second of cc worth compared to x amount more damage on abilities than other players? What is the value of moblity like Riven and Yasou compared to other champions.

This is the reason we see such lopsided game play and super popular champions and then champions that are hardly ever played. Riot has no matrix to figure this stuff out to produced balanced champions.

If we had a god damn sandbox mode and could run full build champions againts each other to see which builds are more optimal, which builds are better for trades VS whatever you want to run it against, it would probably make the unbalanced nature of the items, the superior effectiveness of items on some champions compared to others, and the overall unbalanced nature of champions so obvious that these boards would explode with players asking Riot WTF.

We should already be asking Riot WTF

It's not that that creates lopsided games (at least no the only thing), its champion combinations, some work better then others. There's also all the different power spikes that need to be considered. And opposing team compositions.

Its just not as simple as saying 1 second of CC is worth x amount of damage.

Come on. Yi, Leblanc, zed, fizz....what do champions like these have in common? They all get to become unforgettable or invisible while performing offensive actions. You know they become out of control and can easily carry.

Don't you realize that champions that have abilities that are mobility, offense and defense combined are very powerful? This is just one example of how champions can be oppressive because the value of a certain ability is too much and not balance.

And if you think Riot doesn't know that and doesn't balances for it then you are rather silly.

I'm not claiming their balance is perfect btw.

Funny thing... There was once a certain game mode that tended to find the OPs and abuse cases fairly quickly and often long before it ever was even noticed on Summoner's Rift.

The fast paced and constant skirmishes, the passive experience and gold gain severely lessening any kind of snowballing, the mode that showed mobile champions reigned supreme, and the ability to always have the opportunity to back a comeback no matter how dire it seemed.
