He does shit tons of damage, an ult that does true damage...why should he get to use his ult so many times in a row? I mean seriously...he can be destroyed in lane and by chance find himself in a team fight with 2 or 3 low health enemies and suddenly hes fed. Just like that. And it happens ALL THE GOD DAMN TIME. MEANWHILE he is usually very tanky....yet still bursting champions down with insane damage.

Meanwhile he has free armor pen, can slow you for 90 fucking percent and burst heal himself while escaping.

This champion is a fucking joke. He already gets true damage....why does he also get free Armor pen too? Everything about him is annoying, like hes just there so people can see him pentakill with his ult. Like hes just there so that sometimes you can see "amazing" plays, where OP Darius with pretty much all tank items, is bursting people down with true damage.

Every day I find new reasons to hate Riot.

let me cut every of your future threads short: aatrox is trash. the champion is weak. yes, he needs a buff. actually he will get a rework. no, the problem is not the opponents youre facing, but the champion youre playing, who was deliberately nerfed not to be able to keep up with the game anymore.

True damage and armor penetration don't even scale together well. Who are you kidding?

90% slow? Yes but what range is it? Who are you bullshitting here? You can make any champ sound bad like this.

You're just bitching with no interest in actually dealing with your problem.

As a Darius main I can tell you-he has a shit ton of weaknesses. First of all don't fight him. I have beaten him with Garen by dodging his Q and poking. Or Nasus-slow and stack until he has no chance to fight my team cuz I am tanky I slow his ass and I 2 shot his team. As Darius I always go for positioning and try and help my teammates. I even go TP ignite to make myself the target of ganks,thus allowing my teammates to play much better because they are not ganked all the time. But really now- I have personally defeated him by starving him of kills and taking champs who have similar damage- Garen,who can blow him up with his ult and when that happens,even if I die my team if it's good wins the fight cuz they don't worry about him. Or nasus-good farming and nothing can outdamage you late game. But true damage-well 1 armor pen item on nasus and you ignore a lot of his armor and 300 stacks is quite enough to make him think before he goes ham. That is why when I play him I always rely on my team-to stun or slow,or to bait. And I am very happy when I take a kill with Darius,weaken the rest,die and have my adc and mid laner kill them. Same when I tp bot-kill one weaken the other and wait for the adc to kill him while helping. I don't go-AH MY KILL DUNKKK. But rather help them by killing one or 2 and letting THEM GET fed. As Aatrox go help the others-def the adc. It's not your job to carry. Happens sometimes when I just do with Darius. But more often than not I play chicken vs a Vayne or Gnar top and rely on my team. Don't think Darius can just go Rambo against everyone. If they come close-sure fuck them. If they are ranged-dodge their skillshots,set up ganks. And If they pick a counter don't instalock always,but take someone else. Garen is better in certain situations because of his q. Nasus with his long lasting slow( Darius's slow is just 1 sec). Then you have irelia with her dashes, Fiora with her heal and true damage and dashes. What I am trying to say is that there are effective champs who work against him and that he has alternatives. Also as a Darius main I always position myself and think more about the map than who I will dunk next. Truth be told if you are a good Darius you should help out your allies-feed them,let them farm in peace, def them in teamfights. When you work as a team they can help you reach the 5 stacks and start dunking,but if you don't you get blown by the ranged cowards and lose. No one champ can carry-well if you are faker vs 5 golds or silvers yeah but 1vs5 against people from your level. Not gonna happen. Besides let's be real-he would be broken if the NoXian might was some kind of permanent damage stack and the bleed was stronger. Also if the base damage of the q was not nerfed( that's not a problem actually since at level 18 you will get the same damage on the Q as the old Darius Q at level 9-it just has better stacking now). The W is nerfed from 100 percent damage increase at rank 5 to 40 percent at all ranks,E is the same. The ult's damage got nerfed from 160 at rank 1 to 100, from 250 to 200 and from 340 to 300,at ranks 2 and 3 respectively. So in the end dude it comes down to teamwork-helping the carries carry. Helping the jungler jungle safely and that's it. Cause Faker may fuck 5 Bronze or Silver players but he can't carry vs 5 LCS players-he needs his team. Same with High elo Darius players-they need their team to get a good position. And with all this said, I can tell you- you just don't know how to play in a team that effectively. If you know- give advise to your allies,tell them what to do. If not-ask people for advise. But Darius is not broken-having a hook with Blitz's range and a stun for 2 second + higher damage on his abilities and passive bleed. THAT WOULD BE BROKEN.

Even if you took away the reset, he'd basically be Cho'Gath but stronger and less outdated.

He's objectively the strongest melee in the game right now. Even shits on Poppy who's above and beyond the large majority of the rest.

You've mentioned most of his strengths. Yes, he is a beast as a melee and he is designed to be, but he also has obvious weakness, the fact that unlike most melee, he has no gap closer, no mobility to escape, and only one cc which is very short ranged.

Any ranged champ - namely adc - will shit on him, and if you lag then just buy item 3009 and he has no chance to touch you apart from blowing flash, which you can easily do the same afterwards.

He also has a lot of counter picks at top:

+ spells suffering for darius. The ranged slowing harass with the help of Q, the % health damage, and the escape jump even if darius miraculously lands E, everything in his kit is to bully darius.
. Darius Q has a delay, so renekton has the freedom to E away or go all in to avoid the outer radius, blow his stunning combo, then E away after. He can sustain more safely without relying on landing skill on opponent, and he can constantly trade blows with darius without risk of dying and any mana cost. His kit is very convenient at dealing with darius.
. Not often seen in lane, and not optimal, but convenient at dealing with darius early game. You can poke with Q safely out of darius skill range, eventually making darius's health low and unable to approach you. When darius's delayed Q animation comes out, you can W in to avoid outer radius and land the stun, following up with your combo or just walk away. Even if darius uses E on you, with your passive it is very difficult for darius to stack his passive or even deal significant damage to you. In the long run of trades darius will still come out on top, so what's important is that you focus on poke and only capitalize with stun all in when darius tries to land a Q on you with his E on cooldown, low mana, or too far from his own minions.

Here's the thing about Darius; Darius wins against most melees because most people try to kill him in lane and spend the whole lane dueling him. I don't understand why people don't just play safe, and wait until later in the game when Darius is weaker. Darius falls off later in the game if he can't proc Noxian Might, and that's pretty much the key to beating him late game.

As far as "bursting people," he's trying to focus on hitting squishes who build no defensive items so he can get resets. If he gets 5 stacks of bleed and procs Noxian Might, just disengage and wait it out. If he gets it on squishes, you honestly probably deserve to lose the fight. If he gets that close, then your supports or tanks are just leaving you out to dry.

Darius is also high tier top because he tends to win lane, and that's where almost all the weight of the game is. Getting late game isn't usually that important if you get FB and First Tower gold on your team. If the game was slowed down a bit, then Darius wouldn't be as viable because his niche would be shortened.

If any nerfs are appropriate, I think mana refund on W, CD reduction on W for killing a unit, W slow would be good places to start. They're soft, but they still impact lane presence more than anything else, which is what would be the issue if anything.

He's also a big abuser of ghost atm, which let's him get to carries really easily. Nerf ghost and you hurt a few strong champions without hitting them directly ( Hecarim being probably the biggest). Plus this ghost/flash garbage mid needs to stop imo.
