There's at least one thing I can look forward to for preseason.

Charge up a powerful attack against a tower over 4 seconds, while within 600 range of it. The charged attack deals 375 (+20% of your max health) bonus physical damage.

Cooldown: 60 seconds

Melee champions can now siege towers. Adcs aren't the kings of botlane anymore.

fkin sucks because that makes games shorter and makes split pushers even better and smashing turrets. im not saying short games are bad, im just saying, they are boring.

I don't seeing it being that bad if they change up all the things causing games to be stomps. Towers, gold generation, cheap items, damage, experience... Reverting or updating a lot of patch 5.22 would slow down the game. If these changes were made I'd be fine with Demolish and Rift Herald.

Well, at least tankier champs can damage tower from range now, whereas before it made adcs absolutely mandatory. Now teams can get away with not having an adc for sieges and use a juggernaut or a tank instead.

Plus imagine the interaction with stoneplate. Cho ult but for towers! LoL that's gonna be funny as hell for a few patches.

Did you even see the .gif of the rioter using it in the reveal thread? It empowers your auto attack, so gnar is the only tank who can proc it from a range.

Also it does slightly less damage with stoneplate, because stoneplate reduces your damage output by 60%. Cho ult is unaffected only because it is true damage, this is physical so stoneplate makes it weaker.

Does it not make a melee auto ranged? I thought that's what it would do...

Totally unuseable. The only place this could go would be on a top laner. Except you are giving up TP to do it. Maybe a good summon for Ornn or Garen that never really need to back. Seems pretty dang useless though.

It's a rune mastery. You don't replace it with TP.

In that case I think it would be great on Garen. Just giving up a keystone that barely does anything to begin with so YAY!

Weedlayer1 votes

...it's not a keystone either.

It competes with font of life (a weaker version of bond of stone) and perseverance (+10% bonus armor and MR for every Summoner on cooldown and 10 seconds of 25% slow resistance and tenacity after using a summoner skill).

kasfas1 votes

Is it a keystone, because it's not worthwhile if it is.

Ralanr1 votes

It's not a keystone, it's just a lower tier rune.

Xenomancers1 votes

That is a mistake - every champion will take it.

Somewhere in a premade far far away. summoner 12 Everyone teleports to mid lane to get the tower before minions spawn. I'm calling it .

honestly though, i dont think the rune will be very popular or impactful unless on split pushers.

there are just too many other powerful choices to compete with it. the damage isnt really that much until lategame when you have the health from items and levels to back it up.

while its a lot of damage later on, its also reduced by the turrets armor.

what worries me about this, is that i dont see a reduced effect for ranged champions. which might make the runes most effective on Gnar

heck, the base damage on the thing is high enough that it might be more effective to pick on ranged champions, since they can trigger it easier and poke down your turret with it.

I'm going to use that icon as the new Arthur's fist
