Twitch Way Overnerfed

He used to be my favorite AD and I still find him the most fun to play. However, his laning and general playstyle is too dangerous to be a good choice in ranked. I think this is very unfortunate because he's a pretty cool and unique champion.

Twitch currently has the LOWEST win rate of ALL ADCs in Platinum+ (http://champion.gg) so it's not just a matter of him being hard to play. At least one of his many nerfs should be reverted. He was mainly a FoTM after his visual update and people just didn't know how to react or refused to adapt (pinks, oracles, more AoE damage, not clumping etc.). Objectively, I don't think he was truly OP or it was only slightly so.

Although, I have to say that the biggest nerf comes in the name of his ultimate's new name.

The problem is that he becomes competitive with other ADCS on 3-4+ items. That's over 30 min. in most games and way too late. A TF Corki probably already destroyed your team in every Dragon fight by then. Twitch's late game is good but it's not strong enough to overcome the deficit he'll face when he gets there (assuming teams of equal skill).

He could hit turrets out of turret range for 8 seconds right? Or maybe 5 hits I dont know him well enough

8*2.5= 20 if at max attack speed he could land roughly 20 pokes on turret, but if you are attacking that fast u probably dont have much ad

Twitch has high AS base and high AS scaling along with a big AS steroid.

He only needs 140% in items and runes to hit the cap.

He's still fine if you're duoing with the Support and he knows not to get into many fights. But yeah, I wouldn't pick him in SoloQ

Early lich sona to peel + a twitch ambush = death by plague covered fingerings. Pick better complimenting champions

Oriana, sona, braum, nid's that can actually land spears in ranked. Hell even a ziggs support landing pix on their support is enough. You just need to work well with the person. Also the support HAS to zone for him cause twitch will get pooped on other wise

he isnt as much as overnerfed

his kit is just useless at laning while it requires him to snowball a little to be effective on the other hand if he gets ahead eating 3 ppl at one should be a piece of cake for him

hes just more of a high rist high reward champion where risk lies in his demanding early game

This isn't really debatable. Look at the statistics. He is the WORST performing ADC even in high ELO. That is fairly clear evidence that he isn't where he should be. Perhaps if you put in 10x the effort of a regular ADC and get godly with him, it's different. If he was in the middle of the pack, I would say it's debatable but not when he loses nearly 10% more than his opponents in high ELO.

If he's not too weak in this meta, how can one play him most effectively? I'd have guessed that Diamond players would at least use him to his full potential. His Diamond win rate in the last month is just over 45% though. He's also barely played so it's most likely people who specialize in Twitch.

Yeah Twitch is all lategame, when his poison and contaminate are starting to do real damage, but I agree that his laning is a bit too weak.

One time I came back to lane with a dorans blade and a vampire scepter and found a lone Sona with just a Spellthief. So I decided to ambush her. Big mistake, she simply killed me and easily at that.

Even with his AS boost, he lacks the burst damage that his second role as assassin would indicate. So his ambush is rather ineffective and his stealth is otherwise too short to sneak around like Eve, or hide like Teemo.

I used to main Twitch in S4 and I've played him another 3 dozen games in the last 2 weeks. My winrate is pretty terrible and I have hundreds of games with him in high Gold ELO. I'm pretty convinced he's not only weak but actually unviable. You need the perfect team comp and a lane switch for him to work. Even if you don't get killed in lane and CS fine, he takes too long to scale. BoRK + GB/PD + LW is much less relevant than IE + PD + LW like on most ADCs. However, Twitch does need BoRK too much to go the other route.

Twitch is still sitting on the 5th lowest winrate in the game and by far the worst for ADCs. Even Urgot is higher.

He also isn't picked in tournaments and his winrate only modestly improves in high ELO.

I think it's very clear at this point that he's not a competitive ADC.

Twitch needs a buff for sure. I think just restoring his passive to what it was is a start for a modest QoL change.
