@Riot @Lyte : Security through obscurity is bad, please be more transparent.

Hello,

Riot often refuses to divulge internal details on a lot of systems:

  • drop rates from crafting system recently
  • grading criteria in the end-of-game grades a few months ago
  • (non exhaustive list)

I am strongly convinced that this kind of secrecy is not a good thing, especially when it is done to avoid people gaming the system, and I would urge you to be more transparent about this kind of things. In case you still refuse to go into more details, could you at least explain why? I can't see any commercial/competitive advantage gained from this kind of practices.

On the other hand, being more transparent could avoid misconceptions and some people doing "bad stuff" to try and game the system, like putting "mid" as secondary pick to get their first pick.

Thank you for your attention,

DeathBurst

Hey, I submitted this thread during the new Dynamic Queue crisis, so I figured you had more important stuff to do than reading the forums, but could we get a few words regarding this?

Thanks :)
