Why do people say heimerdinger falls off?

Eventually the enemy team will HAVE to engage whether it's a seige at inhib turret or baron or dragon. In that case heimerdinger will excel at defending a position. He can just save turret kits anyway and plop it down if you engage elsewhere. . . His dps is good and he has a (conditional) stun but that's good enough as cc if he's good. Oh and don't forget early game he will probably get the first 2 turrets pretty quickly and that could snowball in global gold and you need the jungler to fail gank in order to try to save the lane. Heimerdinger other lanes have less pressure on them.

I think mostly because the longer the game goes, the easier it is to erase his non-ult turrets.

Because when late game hits his turrets tend to just get killed in casual aoe spells or from marksmen killing them from outside the range of the turrets.

Against heim you're best taking a champion with big/fast aoe waveclear, and farming until lane phase is done.

Assuming you did that and as such heim is not fed, he falls off because he's easily out rotated, and his turrets get destroyed in the face of 5 people.

he doesn't have an early game either

he's really fucking bad but is good against morons and is super effective against bad junglers who play balls deep all in champions

he is the king of getting double kills due to junglers not respecting his turrets' damage and causing internal conflict/rage between laners and their junglers to the point of demoralizing them enough to surrender

what a badass
