Once the server changes to Chicago you might not notice us from the whole players in NA but we are probably leaving :( It was fun while it lasted. Are Alaska people quitting too?

2,479 mi Distance from Hawaii to Los Angeles

4,189 mi Distance from Hawaii to Chicago, IL

from alaska to chicago is 3,500 mi~ from alaska to LA is 3,300 mi~

From Rhode Island To Los Angeles, CA is just under 3,000 mi

I am sorry Hawaii and Alaska will suffer for the other 48 states :(

Lots of packet losses over there actually, Riot confirmed. Plus they are a part of NA, so you'd think that they should play on a server for NA.

I tried OCE from Asia and it's shittier despite being closer than NA.

Unstable ping and packet loss.

True but after dark (if you are a responsible underage person) you'd end up inside for the night. League is also a fun time with friends too.

i feel your pain i do, but east coast players have had less then optimal ping for as long as league has been running. Honestly this change while hurting Hawaii will even out the playing field, and makes league a bit more bearable for players who have been suffering due to higher ping then west coast players for years. the best advice i can give you, to hang in there and don't let this get you down. for all you know the ping might not become that bad, you will just have to wait and see.
