Has Riot said anything about a Tryndamere rework?
Seems to me he's one of champions with the most need for a full gameplay overhaul.
He doesn't really sell his theme. He's supposed to be an undying, unyielding badass, but the only reason the undying part is true is because the unyielding part isn't. Tryndamere plays like a bitch. He splitpushes all game, and if it ever seems like he's going to die he ults and spams his escape.
Tryndamere doesn't fit the modern standards of the game. His kit is full of things Riot has been trying to remove for years, and is really just not all that interactive - the only thing in his kit that you can really play around is his ultimate cooldown. Modern melee carries are among the champions with the highest mechanical skill ceilings in the game - even Master Yi has expressions of skill in his Q and W timings. In a class of champions that doesn't actually lend itself to simple champion designs, Tryndamere has by far the most simple.
Imagine a Tryndamere, who, when ahead, you had the opportunity to still actually beat in a fair 1v1. Imagine a Tryndamere who, when behind, could actually contribute meanfully to a game beyond splitpushing. Wouldn't that be great?
