So you can specifically pick not to ban a champion....
...but if your rune page is glitched on your screen and you can't close it (like popping it up for a quick double-checking during Pick Intent phase) by the time Banning Phase times out (in this case, you CAN'T close it no matter how much you want to), I'm automatically dodging the game and am penalized for it?
I'm sorry, but in what world does this make sense? I never understood the idea that you can ban nothing on purpose and be fine but the times of accidents which have literally THE EXACT SAME RESULT, just different methods, and you are assumed to not want to play for whatever reason.
No. No, Riot, that's messed up. Okay, I cop to my mistake. My bad. I should check runes after locking in ban and pick, cool. Totally my end there. So how about you do at LEAST one of the following to help instead of ignoring certain aspects of your game?
a) Disable runes from being viewed at all, period, until your personal ban and pick are locked in. You want to encourage focus on the task at hand? Nobody, asides from being tabbed out of the game or AFK, has any excuse and even then those are relatively flimsy reasons so we'll just say we deserve the boot if we do that.
b) Revert back to automatically locking in bans/picks based on hovering. No ban? Okay, then "no champion ban" auto-selected. Thinking about that Trundle top but decided Cho'gath at last second but couldn't switch in time? Too bad, you're not chief, you're troll king! If you don't have a pick hovered, THEN you're booted out. Even having a specific pick for no champion to ban in Ranked mode is a stupid thing to have but if you insist on it regardless, then stop being so anal about whether or not you click a button for it.
c) Give Pick Intent phase an increased timer, fix your glitchy-as-heck rune page view screen, and since we're on the topic ANYWAY...let us hide those god-awful presets if we so choose.
I'm so mad I have to be at the mercy of your client being a, I hate to join the bandwagon here, "a pile of spaghetti code. Rito, plz".
