It is now in the hands of a Rioter or other official figure to decide if this thread is wiped clean off the boards or shall remain as a testament to how not to construct a thread.

Bored, watching Twitch, no one that I follow is on and the only name I recognize is Cowsep. I was all, sure, let's see what the hype is about. Apparently he's a big name so surely that's a good place to start.
Holy crap.
He was playing a Silver account, carrying his team with the vast majority of the gold on just him. He kept feeding near the end, saying it didn't matter since he was "going to win anyway".
He then gets bored after dying pointlessly yet again, quits the game to switch accounts, and brushes it off without any sympathy or anything, saying (paraphrasing since I didn't think to record a clip of it on the app), "well, my team can carry from there; if they don't win, they didn't deserve it anyway".
Dude, you had most of the gold, you gave shutdowns away left and right to the people your team needed you to kill, and then just leave 'cause you're bored and have multiple accounts.
Fuck you and the horse you rode in on. I know the boards will censor that and I don't give two flying shafts. Fuck you, you entitled, selfish t-w-a-t waffle.
Countless people watch this and think it's ACCEPTABLE because if you get away with it (while streaming, no less!), why shouldn't they treat people and matches the same way?
It's no mystery why there's SUCH a huge amount of random people that have zero sense of consequence if Riot allows this of people who are well-established League players.
Oh, he MIGHT get that account on a temporary suspension. Who cares? It’s one of god only knows how many smurf accounts. Hit him, as a PLAYER, where it hurts.
If the rest of us are expected to take our lumps, he and any other “big names” that pull similar stunts should own their actions, too. I have been punished here and there; I sure as hell won't lie. I have a problem with assholes and take the "eye for an eye" approach since that's the only language a lot of them seem to understand (and even then, a lot of them are incapable of so much as even that much) and I have serious mental and emotional problems but accept that it is up to me to take care of myself to keep things in check. But at least I don’t pretend to be infallible.
I shouldn't even be surprised at this point but it goes to show you just how insane the reality of all this is.

- As my understanding has improved of the situation, I still safely can say with confidence I have at no point lied to anyone about what happened to the extent of my knowledge when I first posted this thread.

The ensuing damage control Cowsep was pressured to and is PERFECTLY ENTITLED TO following my lack of foresight as to how people would react so viciously to the incorrect message my post originally was interpreted should never have been necessary.

My poor choice of wording in which I presented my opinion was based off of information in which I missed very crucial information at the final moments relevant to the game being discussed is a very unfortunate reality. I admit fault for leaving his stream too early to see his doubling back and returning to the game in question, my reasoning being that I had no reason to believe he had any intent to return, particularly with his deadpan commentary.

We are now at a stage where no satisfying resolution can be established as too many harsh and petty things have been exchanged (on both sides) due to how heated the debates got in the comments section.
7a) The following were my initial edits as the thread grew and I lost sight of how I originally envisioned my thread eventually developing.
7b) Because it was MY failure to ensure a safe discussion in this thread which needless bashing unfolded, it is necessary to preserve the history of how this toxic content dictated my flow of thought as I struggled to make people understand my frustrated point of view.
I should have squashed every single attempt to divert the discussion away from people who (successfully) turned this thread from a "we need to make sure people understand that just because we see more well-known figures do certain actions and not bear consequences for them does not mean they are free to also do the same" into a hate-rally against Cowsep (since he's the example being used).
7c) My attitude is to be taken from the perspective of someone who was exceptionally tired of trying to argue his point from multiple angles and failing miserably, only to make the valid points I made even MORE difficult to understand because of personality conflicts which ensued.
(Edit: I have no intent on altering anything I originally posted. Apparently, one needs to act like a laywer, though, and use disclaimers to condescendingly explain to rabid fanboys of anyone specifically mentioned in any criticism-based thread on these boards, that the point of using examples is to allow people to extrapolate and think of the greater picture of what has and is transpiring when talking about pre-existing issues.
Cowsep, as I have already noted elsewhere in the comments section, is not someone I am familiar with as far as their personal history is concerned. I have no personal grudge outside of the actions I have illustrated in my opening grievances with what I bore witness to this morning.
I do have to point out, though, that in order to be taken seriously that in a state of lack of trust or respect to the rules with which the League community is expected to play within, we have to establish a few facts of reality.
With any regard to the situation with players having no sense of empathy or care for consequences that are far more likely to be seen as rare and of no immediate significance, many will agree that as time goes on, our experiences dwindle in quality as more and more people do whatever they want without fear.
A substantial amount of these people look to popular figures and emulate them, for better or for worse. Oftentimes, for worse, as it is far easier to detach oneself from poor moral choices in an environment wherein privacy is prevalent, such as the internet.
Bringing this kind of behaviour to the forefront of our collective attention in the form of a forum post is my only real means of communicating how much I care about the lack of attention this issue receives.
If I'm not allowed to use an individual's actions as a direct example of how a single person can sway a sizeable crowd to behaving against the rules we SUPPOSEDLY agreed upon in order to play this game, then how can ANYONE make a valid point to show the shortcomings of the system failing us?)
(Edit #2: After verifying further information, this situation is far worse than I was ever aware of, particularly in regards to regional variance. Korean servers, especially.
I have made concessions to Cowsep in replying to his rebuttal in the comments but I still will not change the wording of my post to stand as a testament that first impressions matter more than ever where larger names are involved.
Misunderstandings can be had, as evidenced by my prior ignorance of how the Korean servers are a cesspool far worse than NA could ever be, their gaming culture being far more unforgiving and black-and-white in nature, etc.
This still doesn’t change the core message that everyone needs to be held accountable and influence to behave in particular ways from watching others for the more negative aspects should not be brushed off so easily.)
TL;DR: Minor technicalities of reading a situation led to a topic of good intent but pride by arguing semantics is preventing either side from budging past a certain point and the message is being wholly ignored at this point. GG, the haters are the only winners as we squabble among ourselves as they continue to operate freely without consequence to their actions.
Oh...and an ending note: read my most recent and final comment to Cowsep himself (he obviously has better things to do with his time than spend it arguing with me when he has a crowd to entertain). I am not a goddamned liar. I don’t give a shit if you call me something else but I don’t LIE.
