Singed compared to every other tank and why he needs a rework/change

This list basically compares what other tanks can offer to a team, what they can do compared to singed. Other tanks (classed under tank in the lol client) compared to singed:

Maokai: 2 hard cc sources, percentage damage reduction, gap closer with percentage hp damage, Heals based off his max hp from spell casts, wins most lane matchups.

Poppy: 2 hard cc sources, gap closer that is also a 2 second stun, denies champions dashes, gets tankeir the lower she is, has a max hp sheild Percent speed increase, aoe max hp damage,

Sion: 2 hard cc sources, infinitely scales, deals 10% max hp damage on EVERY auto attack while dead, percentage speed increase in dead mode max hp shield which also deals percentage hp damage in a aoe circle.

Shen: 1 hard cc source, gobal teleport , gap closer thats damage scales off his bonus hp, max hp shield, max hp damage on empowered auto attacks ability that denies auto attack damage

Cho'Gath: 2 hard cc sources, mana and health sustain with passive, high base TRUE damage ult, high ap scalings on all abilities increases his auto attack range from using ult, gets 1000 hp for free from his ult

Amumu: 2 cc sources, Reduced physical damage, gap closer, aoe per second max hp damage, massive aoe ult.

Zac: gap closer, 2 hard cc sources, has a revive, max hp healing, max hp damage on an ability that is always getting refreshed,

Rammus: 2 hard cc sources, Free thorn mail, 120 free armor on something that isn't even an ultimate (nasus's ult gives 110 over 15 seconds on a 120s cool downn, rammus gets 120 instantly from w on a 14s cool down) percentage speed increase,

Blitzcrank: Percentage speed increase, 3 cc sources (q,e,r) ALL abilities have a 100% ap or ad scaling, auto attack reset, shield scaling off his current mana.

Alistar: damage reduction, heal for him and his ally, a free cleanse, 3 hard cc sources, can move through units.

Sejuani: 2 hard cc sources, Bonus armor and slow resist from auto attacking an enemy, gap closer, percentage hp damage auto attack followed by percentage aoe percentage hp damage, A 6 SECOND 70% SLOW,

Jarvan: Percentage hp damage auto attacks, armor reduction q with 120% bonus ad scaling, 1 hard cc source, attack speed steroid to his whole team, High base damage ult with 120% bonus ad scaling, screws over champions that take ghost over flash, gap closer.

Leona: Increased flat and percentage armor and magic resist, 3 hard cc sources, auto attack reset, empowered auto attacks, gap closer.

Galio: gets increased ap based off his magic resist, gives a shield that gives 90 armor and magic resist, heals based on the enemies damage, percentage speed increase 1 hard cc source.

Malphite: Max hp shield, percentage move speed steal, damage is based off his bonus armor, percentage armor increase, attack speed cripple, 1 hard cc source Gap closer.

Nautilus: 3 hard cc sources, max hp shield, auto attack reset, gap closer.

Mean while singed has: Bonus health based off his max mana (useless as no one builds mana anymore), low damage q, 2 hard cc sources (fling and goo fling) Max health damage every 10 seconds, Ult gives upto: 80 magic resist, armor, ability power and 16 mana/health regen per second for 25 seconds.

Singed has no gap closer like most tanks do, he has no shield like most tanks do (which is weird because his character HOLDS A SHIELD yet it is doing nothing for him) he falls off in late game and Isn't rewarding to play anymore. all of the tank champions listed scale well and have been preforming better than him since riot removed his ult tenacity.

Singed needs an updated kit 100%, he has been out of meta for 5 seasons now, has been a horrible pick and doesn't see any play in competitive (apart from looper and dyrus) As minishcap1 (challenger singed one trick) stated in a video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nGVCvhn6hd0) every single patch from the start of pre season 6 to preseason 7 has been bad for singed. the only 2 viable play styles of singed is proxy all game in the enemies base (which most people say is trolling, this is unhealthy) or rush righteous glory in lane then look for team fights before singed falls off in late game. In season 5 singed was considered a late game champ back when people build tear and rod of ages but the meta has changed and both of these items are not good on singed anymore.

Singed is not a viable pick in higher elos as people know how to beat a proxy singed, they know how to make a singed useless and they have better kiting mechanics to out run singed.

My suggestion is the following: give singed tenacity back on his ult, give him some kind of damage reduction, a shield, something to benefit his team (and make him actually worth picking over something like poppy or rumble) or a full rework.

He has been in dire need of attention from riot for many years but at this stage the majority of singed mains just think riot doesn't give a crap about singed and are ignoring this champion.

(you may say "hey didnt his q get buffed recently?" the real answer is no, the q tick rate change did nothing other than easier last hitting in the early game)

Singed is viable, you just have to play him differently than a traditional top laner. Sirhcez got to masters playing Singed with a pretty high win rate, so he is playable in high Elo.

His passive is garbage; I agree to that. It should be something different, some type of sustain to help him in the top lane, similar to a trundle or chogath passive, but I don't know what.

Of course Singed looks like a shitty tank when you compare him to tanks. He's not a tank. Never really has been. He's an AP bruiser more than anything. Maybe even a Juggernaut. But most certainly not a tank.

Cho got high cooldowns, cast time, and mana costs on all of his abilities (except for e), plus he's immobile. just to make the comparison a bit more fair.

I wouldn't say Jarvan or Cho are tanks. Jarvan's a bruiser, and Cho's a juggernaut. Mana isn't something people don't build anymore, and there are quite a few good mana/ap, or mana/health, or mana/resistance items Singed can use. Lategame you can pick up a item 3151 item 3116 item 3165 and apply AOE slows, burns, and GW.

A cool idea for a passive is:

Gains x% movement speed when running away from enemy champions.

You can't compare Singed to other Tanks like that, it's not his role in the game.

Finally got a real keystone ty god, his passive and ulti do need reworking though.

Also wished his W rooted units tossed OUT of it. Would ask for it to apply grounded but let's tackle passive and ulti first.

Honestly, the term "AP Fighter" probably fits Singed better than "tank". While it is his official class, comparing him against teamfighting tanks is probably incorrect.

While his utility is lower, he provides a significant amount of sustained damage and moderate amounts of CC with which to threaten the enemy team. Meanwhile, he can easily be a nigh-unkillable threat who is continually slowing the enemy team and diverting their attention.
