Ive been sitting G5 for the past several months. Ive been sitting 0 lp and lost about 70 percent more games than won. ive lost 6x sitting on 0 lp. i havent gotten recently into this division. just CANNOT DEMOTE.

i need to demote so i can go back to bronze and bring my lp back to 20+ you guys have fucked me. 9 lp per win 22 per loss. so if i cant demote. than i refuse to play this game anymore. its not a joke. demote me manually or im legit gone. im giving it 2 more losses, if i cant demote. it was fun.

when your lp becomes worse than your loss lp. you have to demote so you can go to lower tier to regain your win lp back.

or you can practice up and winstreak till you normalize (or get closer, like ~+16/win minus 22 per loss)

coming from someone trying to climb out of b1 and hopefully maybe go for gold this season, first world problems lmao

Just win games until your mmr fixes itself and your LP goes back to normal for that reason.

MMR changes faster than league, so if you're just chasing 'normal' LP gains, you'll never actually catch up.

In order to demote to silver 1, you need to have a silver 5 mmr (which is why you're experiencing this difficulty in demoting), and if you lose you way down to silver 5, you'll have a bronze mmr, and you'd need a bronze 5 mmr to demote, and by the time to get down to B5 you'll have an mmr that's really low even by b5 standards, and so still get low LP gains and large LP losses.

Even if you did manage to 'catch' your mmr, the number of games you'd need to win to get back to where you are with a normal mmr would be roughly the same amount as it'd take you to fix your mmr at your current rank PLUS additional games for all the additional losses you incur while getting demoted.
