Why was Tear removed from Jayce's recommended items?

I am just buggling my mind over it, i wanted to address it much sooner but i thought i'd drop it and see how the new recommended items are faring...

well...it's been nearly one year now if i am not wrong, and i start to feel more and more like it should be brought back as one of jayce's core items. Building a item 3070 into item 3004 and then later let it grow to item 3042 is almost essential in my experience both when playing jayce myself, having a jayce in my team or fighting against one.

i might be wrong on the global stats, but i have not once, i repeat, NOT ONCE seen a jayce without a tear get a positive score or even just an balanced negative score. every time i see any jayce, my team or enemies, they do poorly beyond reasoning just because they lack that one item.

Now, i am not saying that jayce depends on the item, even if i Sound like it, but i think it was not much of a smart move to remove it from his recommended Build. it has amazing synergy with his kit, it gives great amounts of ad while also loading him with mana and with the muramana effect also boosts his skills aswell, he can poke multiple times in a row with his e-q without needing to switch to melee and stay like that for almost a minute just to regrow the mana he lost from one poke, the passive item 3042 proc has incredible synergy with his melee AA passive on the first hit, his W empowered ranged AA, his melee E and with his damage output in General.

i might be wrong, i totally get that, but in my experience of any Kind of perspective, jayce Needs that item a lot more than it is credited for him. so to put the Essay down to a question:

can we update jayce's recommended item Build path so it includes item 3070 and it's following finished item item 3004 ?

Muramana is too delayed of a powerspike to be a first or second buy for an early game champion like Jayce.

You also don't need mana sustain if you just kill your opponents in one or two rotations, which Jayce does right now.

as i said, i might be wrong, but jayce for his growing damage spike suffers heavily by risking his laning phase. sure, muramana might take too much time, but manamune doesn't, and it covers his scaling up throughout the entire game. this is just my opinion, but jayce without mana is just Food waiting to be killed, and with his costs earlygame even the smartest jayce runs out of it in just the first rotation of the 2 he Needs to kill, ecspecially if he attempts to E-Q poke.

it's just i never see a jayce do well if they don't Build tear. even in lanes they should win, like vs a riven, which is quite a popular pick due to the event

You can still build it at your elo, where the enemy team isn't an organized 5 man knowing how to end a game early, and you could succeed based on the fact that they will let it go to late game if you just stall. But in pro play, that shit doesn't fly, and they use Jayce like a dull knife that gets sharper and sharper every time you kill someone with it

Tear is essentially 700 gold of non-combat stats. You could get 2 longswords instead, and 2 longswords are absolutely insane in terms of early pressure. While it covers mana problems, manamune doesn't grant him enough combat stats early enough, and we're in a world where instantly killing someone is more important than poking them down. Honestly, it makes Jayce somewhat more balanced as he's kinda too weak if he gets tear, aka you should just all in the shit out of him since he has less combat stats, but if he doesn't go tear he's more prone to suffering manaproblems.

In competitive play or high elo, Tear is straight up weak, if you manage to do decently with it you might scale slightly better, and even then that's mostly just for mana purposes, which are kinda irrelevant if you get blue/ if full on teamfights break out where you'd probably die before running OOM.

PS : if the Jayces you saw without tear were doing poorly, it's not because they didn't get tear. It's because they most likely suck, no offense.

to literally answer your question and not really contribute towards any build arguments, i think they removed it when people in LCS started spamming him (around the time his melee E's bonus AD ratio was added) and they don't build tear
