Maokai Saplings Problem...

So, Maokai has always been able to load up on saplings in a bush to detonate some unfortunate squishy who walks into it (or near it). The problem now is that with the update, it's now a legitimate threat to all champions. If Maokai has rank 5 on his E and 600 AP, 5 saplings (his limit) deal 725 + 100% of the enemy's Max Health, not even including his DOT for them being in a bush, which deals DOUBLE THE DAMAGE. If the DOT doesn't stack, that's 870 + 120% of their Max Health, and if it does, that is 1450 + 200% of their Max Health. Seriously, wtf Rito?!?

If a Maokai spends an entire 50 seconds loading up saplings into a single bush and you still walk into it, then you deserve the worst kind of fate.

With 45% CDR, that's only 30 seconds. And then the first one will explode 40 seconds after that. So basically, he can have an insta-death trap for 40 seconds by spending 30 seconds of slightly paying attention to a 6 second cooldown.

That's 30 SECONDS OF HOVERING OVER ONE BUSH. How much is he NOT doing in that 30 seconds? Say the enemy team makes a play and he's not there to tank for his team because he's over here afking E-spamming a bush - that makes it an easy 4v5 for the enemy! "Oh but if the enemy came to this bush tho-" It's not a legitimate problem. Ever.

You should never facecheck bushes even with OLD Maokai. That hasn't changed. Get yourself a item 3363 and call it a day.

If he's building that much AP then he's probably really squishy as a result.

Also you never face check a bush against people with busy related abilities.

Except that his passive is now much stronger, so he is squishy if caught by cc.

well, that would be raw damage calculated. there is the reduction by resistances, there is also the Problem with cooldowns. you can't go full damage with the current ap items and get those 40-45% cdr off, also if i did read it correctly, don't his sapplings deal the % health damage as an total bonus to his flat damage? pretty sure it is that. and there is also the fact that lategame noone smart enough will walk into an unwarded bush.

having said that RenownedWheat42 pretty much nailed it, if you lategame walk in on an unwarded bush just like that, then you do kinda deserve being blown by seeds (i swear there is a rapejoke in there)
