So, I just saw the skin spotlight video for the new Rek ult, and I'm rather disappointed tbh. It's a rather shitty ult, and honestly, I think you should have the mark be applied by team mates, give it the range that her current ult has, lower the damage so it's not a shitty execute ult, and up the cooldown a bit. Like this, it goes from being an execute, to being a ganking tool that would also allow her to join fights super fast.
I disagree, I think its great. She was abused in pro play so much for the passive as buff and global preasure it gave her with a reliable knock up. She'll be less staple in pro play. Her ult isnt global anymore, to whoever the fuk said that. And why would her teammates have to apply it? doesn't fit her thematically at all. Shes been nerfed over and over and it usually only in pro play for her gank mechanics . This brings her back to solo que.
its amazing and gives her something more to her kit, which a lot of people complained about her ult being lackluster and bland on release.
She's a fighter, her tunnels gave her enough mobility. Giving her a point and click nuke burst anywhere on the map to champs your allies hit would be pretty OP. And while her ult now isn't really... exciting (it's pretty boring actually) it is much better than a passive + tp to a tunnel which was also boring

The range is kind of embarassing.
Part of what was cool about her old kit was the global/map presence. Now her ult basically lets her use her Q as an engage instead because the range is so short.
On top of that, the ult unburrows her, which means if she uses it, she is giving up her knock up.
Let's also not forget that her old ult used to passively give her 20/40/60% atk speed, which is no longer does now. So thats a really big portion of power she losses for the new ult and the new scaling on her ability (on top of them making Unburrow arguably a weaker ability
So....I fail to see how this ult is useful.
