Usually after my pick intent, I get "Don't play X champion, play Y champion instead!" Chances are, I don't even own Y champion! Like, listen dude, I know you want me to play Braum, but I'm feelin' Janna today! Don't mind me, just having a grump since it's getting annoying at this point.

DarkRitual1 votesIt all depends on pick order. If you're last pick, and your intended champ doesn't fit the comp, you probably should make the change. Simply put, you have no more right to tell someone else to change their pick than they do to tell you. Nothing wrong with playing who you want to play, but it's up to people lower in the pick order to fill in on those sorts of things if a viable team comp is going to emerge.

The enemy team had a Lucian who first picked, which is fine. Then their support apparently insisted on playing Janna, as opposed to someone who could synergize with Lucian and counter our lane.
Poking them down and killing them was so easy. Janna couldn't engage or set up kills for Lucian, since we didn't need to be anywhere near their threat zone to damage them.
Pick what works best with your comp/against the enemy comp, at least if you're playing ranked. Play to win.
