That wasn't a threat.

That was just them telling you that they'd rather dodge and lose the dodge LP than you picking that specific champ which in their head is equal to a free loss for 1 reason or the other.

A threat would probably be that "if you pick x, I'm going to [insert next-to-impossible champ for a role, such as Yi support]". And basically force you to dodge.

People think they are Gods Tier players so they are saying "Pick what I want or you I won't win your game" There is a lot of Ego Strokers in the game.

if only they'd say they dodge... in my case its always "i troll" not "i dodge"

Valid point it's season 9. Once you hit a point where meta picks are mandatory picking anything out of the meta or if NON Meta your champ doesnt hard counter the enemy counterpart you face neither me or any other player wants you in our team. ( And i no longer even care about climbing i just dont wanna be in a 4v5 )

I do not see the problem in saying that. But i do not see the problem with picking the champion anyways.

I had a Zilean support recently that was demanding I play as anyone else but Mf. I still went as Mf as she was who I was most comfortable with. He ends up going mid and top, to support them, and then eventually comes bot after I've been 1 v 2ing this whole time. He starts taking farm, spam laughing and starting fights and then would bail, and I died a few times. I was trying to stay calm, but I ended up losing it! Our jungler was basically patting Zilean on the back for the way he was acting and then was telling me to relax. I afk'd for a few minutes, went to the bathroom, and made sure I was calm. I don't know why, but that Zilean really just got under my skin. I wish he woulda just dodged instead of acting like that if he really didn't wanna play with a MF Adc. .-.

Yeah I'd rather have them dodge than have to listen to them bitch all game. It's worse to get someone like that on your team and then have them throw the game with their confirmation bias and try to blame your pick. Generally it's because they're hard stuck in whatever elo they're in and trying to find a scapegoat to explain why they're not improving at the game.

Simple answer, I give you an example that I had in one of my games, I had ash, mid jinx, ADC vayne top and twitch jg and they showed this kind of champions in champ select and locked in and it was ranked , Now my question to you is would you play with this kind of people , if the answer is YES than you don't understand that you don't have lower chance to win the game because you don't have ap nor tank or you are forcing me to play ap tank as support just because you and your other 3 budies picked adcs in other roles and 2nd think why would I dodge if you play ash mid and vayne top ... TF ??? Literally played that game out I asked can you not play 4 adcs and play at least one ap or tank pl no1 was listening ... I had another game where with almost the same exactly thing except that I had lethality sion top with no tank items at all and you tell me to dodge just because its fucked up to play some champions in some roles like yuumi JG - if you say that yuumi jg is ok to play than you have huge problem, my friend. and you tell me if I say I don't play that champ IS NOT OK AND I SHOULD DODGE AND YOU PLAY SO F-ED UP SHIT ON SOME ROLES THAT HAS NO IMPACT AND IT GIVE DISADVANTAGE TO OTHER PLAYERS IN YOUR TEAM - than you are the one that should dodge the game I'm not the therapy dummy that you ca treat just because you play some garbage that has not common seans in some roles at all ( IF THAT IS THE CASE THAN IM RIGHT HERE... in that game, me and my team did just fine as That Guy proceeded to do something like 1/12/3, try to surrender constantly, and bitch the whole game.
