There is no 3, only yuumi + morde exist in this scenario since the rest of the team is obsolete/somewhere else/afk.

Just because the comment they responded to said “Mordekaiser is the only champion you can safely attach to” doesn’t imply that only Yuumi and Mordekaiser are around. It just means Yuumi feels like she can only attach to Mordekaiser safely... whether he is right or wrong or if it’s his fault for being in that position is a different problem of course.
In your case, if Yuumi and Mordekaiser are the only ones around when the enemy collapses on them, it would be nice. I don’t think it would be a good change overall because in the mid to late stages of the game, Yuumi shouldn’t be in a position with just one ally. That’s not really playing to her strengths and using her effectively.
Anyways, during a team fight, if Yuumi is attached to him when he ults, a 5v5 could turn into a temporary 3v4 in favor of the opposing team while Yuumi literally doesn’t contribute in any way through this change.
In a team fight scenario, one could argue “But I don’t want to detach from Mordekaiser because I might die!” I feel like if you’re going to implement this change, however, you might as well take the potential risk of going for a reattach because if mordekaiser isn’t popping his target immediately, you’re probably going to lose the fight anyways because you’re figuratively AFK for so long.

Nah I don't mind Yuumi attaching to me at the start of a fight, the real problem is that there's no quick way to communicate with her that you're gonna ult so she can go to someone else in time and not get left in the middle of the enemy team (except when you're in voice comms with the Yuumi, I guess, but that's rarely the case for me).

SEKAI4 votesThe scarier thing is that pre-re-release when Morde's rework was still just on PBE and not fully out, Morde could kill a champ who has Yuumi attached to them inside the death realm, and then Morde would exit the realm with the target dead but Yuumi who was attached to the target, would remain in the death realm and unable to leave.
This happened on 1 stream I happened to see. The Yuumi apparently became the new owner of the death realm and was able to take the circle arena with her and so the player eventually figured out a way to escape, by running to an enemy turret and get executed. Only then they were freed.
This was probably fixed already, but still, scary stuff.

Man, I had the most HILARIOUS interaction like this the other day. I was playing as Yuumi and Morde ulted me. The problem was, he ulted me under a tower. The thing about Morde's ult is, even though you can't see the tower, the tower is still there. As soon as he hit me, the tower started taking shots at him. And because he was trapped in his own ult, he couldn't move far enough out of the way to be out of turret range. I just kept myself alive with my heal, and the turret did the rest of the job for me.
