Riot why does Darius keep getting stealth nerfs? Where do you want him to be?

Darius has become mediocre in high elo after a series of stealth nerfs.

he's gotten 4 stealth nerfs in the last 2 months (maybe even more)

I always Played Darius through all of his shitty stages, (Hello patch 3.03 Worst patch in league existence) After the rework riot added a lot of counterplay to his kit which was fine.

but now that he's constantly getting stealth nerfed for "reasons" He feels absolutely garbage to play now My Darius main club with the tag DUNK all agrees with me and lot of them just stopped playing him.

Stealth nerfs were:

  1. His ult has a longer cast animation making it more difficult to get resets by either getting ksed my ult by teamate or killed.

  2. His pull range got reduced by 15 from 550 to 535 Proof: http://imgur.com/a/ovY5Z

  3. a change that was put under "bug fixes" in patch 7.11 : "When Darius triggers Noxian Might by applying a fifth Passive - Hemorrhage stack via Q - Decimate, Decimate now properly only applies one stack of Hemorrhage to other units hit" It worked like this for years now and all of sudden it's a bug? all Darius mains used this trick to get a surprise 5 stacks to everyone, but now hes even more predictable and easy to counter.

  4. His pull hitbox is now an actual cone when it used to be more forgiving kinda like a rectangle hitbox. this make pulling someone who is in melee range of you so much harder than it used to, anyone can just side step it now.

finally with all of this added to his already added counterplay with the rework make him garbage without a team full of support and tank to help you in high elo.

Everyone seem to think Darius rework was a success while I tend to disagree especially if riot have to keep stealth nerfing him to keep his WR close to 50%

I just want the old Darius back :(

Edit: I want to point out that Darius WR has gone down Each patch from a while now. It used to be around a high 51% to now BELOW 50% wr this patch

Also, when you pull someone in point-blank range Darius becomes sort of clunky compared to max-range pulling someone. I don't know if it has to do with them being "airborne" longer or not but he feels very unresponsive after for a second or so.

yeah i realised this by seeing that darius win rate hit 49%

but i didn't feel any difference mainly because i play him adc and he's just too good in the adc role but the hook range XD, i thought i was becoming bad at darius but i see it now, the range nerf

because screw darius? the most easy laner in the game? like there is no reason to be stronger..in fact some real nerfs would be nice...

Darius had his skills bug-fixed. Seems appropriate to me. Also, that bleed thing doesn't seem like a strat, it seems like a bug. Getting a 5th stack proc's Noxian Might, which then makes it so you apply five stacks every hit. So, having four stacks, then applying a fifth, to that one person, really shouldn't give everyone hit five stacks. It just doesn't make sense.

At low elo where I am, he is pick or ban. There's pretty much no melee champions that can lane against him, so riot is nerfing him for us :3. In my first ranked game, he solo killed me and 2v1ed me and my jungler, then killed my top inhib without any help from anyone else on his team. At 20 minutes ish he 1v5 my team under our mid inhibitor turret and pretty much ended the game from there.

I mean.. A lot of my champions have been nerfed hard in the last year.. Udyr Graves Rengar all among the lowest winrates for junglers. I'd mention LeeSin cause he also only has a 47% winrate, but that would upset the boards. Oh wait, i just did -_-

So yeah, i don't really see ur pain when Darius is still in the 50%s

I've stopped playing him in normals for awhile now. He doesn't feel as strong as earlier this year and I feel like I don't benefit my team when I play him. I'm disappointed to say the least because he is one of my favorite champions to use.

As far as i know a Rioter mentioned that the 535 range was a bad documentation and he actually has 550.

I didn't know this until you showed and last time I went darius was 2 weeks ago got autofilled top I actually felt a lot weaker than wayyy before he's actually easy to take down now

Yup I noticed that Darius is much harder to play than before but I still don't like to use him to fight whole team. He is very vulnerable to kite but he is still pretty strong against most melee champion during lane.

Still better than playing the Renekton.

riots nerfs black cleavers build path and takes damage off it and compensates with more "tankiness", because juggernauts are totally looking for that extra 100hp in the item designed to be there only damage item.

directly nerfed darius' passive early game with no compensation for his terrible lategame

the changes to thornmail and addition of bramble vest are gonna be so fun because everyone and there mother is gonna have a 900 gold solution to darius that builds into a 2900 gold solution to darius that also had a side effect of 75 armor and 250 hp. did i mention the 15% attack speed slow for the champ with one of the lowest attack speeds in teh game? not to mention darius isnt the only champion who is gonna have a problem with this item.

the aids healing and shielding meta hasnt been kind to darius at all. all it has done has been introducing ways to do more damage than darius and other champs like him in the long fights he usually likes.

the GA changes were not good for darius because all it does is make adcs harder to kill while doing more damage and then he dies as soon as he revives if he buys it.

Fiora exists and is popular

adcs abusing deaths dance lategame are probably one of the worst things because you get shit like almost any adc with these item 3812 item 3006 item 3031 item 3046 item 3072 facetanking darius and any other tank or juggernaut that is foolish enough to think it has the late game power to kill it.

i have found myself taking grasp over fervor now because it seems everyone and there mother can outrun and outburst darius if he brings fervor so early game he is wittle down for the jungler to come and suck off his toplaner with a gayass tower dive. being behind on darius is some of the most aids shit because if the enemy team was able to get you behind in gold and xp in the first place chances are they know how to keep you there.

edit- and they change to his stacks fucked him over so hard its fucking disgusting. he gets 5 stacks on one person with a q and everyone else takes no damage from it and just uses this as there q to use everything on the fucking darius because he got 5 stacks "its time to stop him from doing anything else now"

What do you expect man Darius is so binary, of course ppl in higher elo are going to realize how to beat him dont fight him early unless you have a stronger early game, either go into him when he q's or dodge it it isnt so hard to counter him.

Using a feature that completely counters documentation is not "taking your enemies by surprise", it's bug abuse, and if you ever done that you should be ashamed of yourself and not complaining to the producer about fixing it.

I've always remembered Darius' pull range being a wonky number though. I've never seen it be 550, always at something like 535 or 515. Might just be poor documenting where someone saw the range and was like, "It's close enough, I'll edit the page to be 550," but then someone edited back because it's technically incorrect.

Can't comment on the first one though. That seems strange. You are 100% sure of this? Sounds more like a bug if it was not documented.
