LP Loss vs gain

I am currently Silver 1. In the last 5 days I've managed to climb from Silver 5 to Silver 1 but currently am getting annoyed with my net LP gain. I can win 3 in a row and then have half of my progress be wiped out in just one game. I went on a 3 win streak from 0 LP and reaching 54 LP. I lose one game and drop 22 LP (after previously gaining 16 from my win prior to that). How is this fair? With a 50% win rate I would get demoted, with a 67% win rate I wouldn't even really climb and it take a 75% win rate to even make a difference.

I am silver 5 and i had 82 lp,after a winning game i recived 10 lp.really?!? What is going on? and after a deafeted game I lost 19 lp..Seriously of winning 10 lp and losing 19?

the ranking system is a joke haha.. waste of time TBH u can find better games in teambuilder or normal games which is sad.. cause to me ranking is how you value the skill right? so yes ranting away i win 5 in a row and lose 2 times back down to starting over this game is fun but riot needs to fix this silver players shouldn't be ranked with bronze and so forth...

I think that if you rank up too fast, S5 to S1 in 5 days is really fast, the game doesnt think your MMR and where your rank is are correct. Why you lose more and gain less is where Im lost. If your mmr is 1200 but your playing at 1400 shouldnt you gain more and lose less per win/loss? And then the series games... ugh

When you're on a win streak, the system will know and will put you on the side that when you lose more than you gain (usually the blue side). Otherwise, it's because you're too low for your MMR and the system is trying to drop you to where you belong.

Wait till you get to Diamond, you will bless God for +12 LP after win and only -22 for Lose.

It's because you ranked up multiple times without playing all that many games. Your rank can go up and down much faster than your MMR (outside of your placement matches, which apply a much bigger MMR adjustment). The ranking system is not really convinced that you've gone up five ranks in skill yet.

If you keep winning at a 50% or higher rate, your MMR will eventually "catch up" with your rank (which might demote you down, say, 1 division in the process), and then you'll be able to climb normally again.

TLDR: don't worry about it and it'll sort itself out.
