Why isnt Syndra's stun longer?

Compared to other mages, her stun duration is underwhelming. It's gated behind two spells and requires a lot more mechanical skill than landing an Annie stun, but the duration is shorter. Is there a reason for this? A champion that is more demanding mechanically is less rewarding than her counterparts. I thought there was supposed to be a trade-off? Just wondering, any insight/advice would be appreciated. I'm probably missing something.

Its range is pretty big.

The replies here are pretty good. Syndra's stun is harder to hit than some but it's the longest range stun in the game, it's among the game's very fastest projectiles and it does a decent chunk of damage on a champion with 4 damaging abilities. Also, its duration doesn't need to be THAT long because it's chained into a moderate slow after. Plus Syndra is in some ways an assassin so the window where you can't use abilities really can't afford to be that long.

Scatter The Weak is in no way underpowered. 1.5 seconds is the perfect duration - it's her Q and W that need help.

i think because it can stun multiple targets from a pretty decent range. annies stuns are pretty telegraphed and getting a good tibbers stun off usually needs flash so that might be their logic?

  1. She can use it on-demand as long as her spells are off-CD. She doesn't need to rotate her spells to charge a counter to access the stun.
  2. It's an AoE stun. 1.5 second stun is pretty standard for mage AoE stuns.
  3. It has very good range.

It's AoE and Range are tradeoffs for using two abilities to stun.
