There have been several highly upvoted threads about the problems with Veigar right now but there has not been a single Riot response. On top of that, he's been completely ignored in recent patches.
Does this mean Riot thinks Veigar is in a good spot right now? If so, that makes me think they've never played Veigar, before or after the changes.
People forget things over time.
And people learn to accept things when change is not gonna come anytime in the near future.
Could the people downvoting explain why they think Veigar is in a good spot?

did his power as a single lane carry get trashed as a result of his balancing? you bet. does Riot care about the small percentage of players that enjoyed playing veigar? probably, but LCS balancing takes precedence :/
Veigar got Lore'd.
Why would they? No one on the boards is interested in an actual balance discussion, any comment they make would probably be responded to with hate and 'instant stun or RIOT'
