$65-$85 for a hoodie?
I mean, sure, I'd like a league hoodie, but I'd never pay that much for a hoodie. Not even Thinkgeek charges that much for their cool clothing items.

The hoodies on the site for beta a launch are all custom cut and sew. The League crest hoodie for example features custom hardware, tonal embroidery on the sleeve and high quality fabric and construction.
That said, we also understand the need to have multiple price points in the store across our categories and will be building out the assortment over time to reflect that goal. We’ll been adding items that are less expensive, as well as items that more expensive as we build out the store. Moar to come.
inb4 white knights, it's a free to play game, Riot is a business, how do you expect them to make money, etc.
My girlfriend has a smallish clothing company and their stuff is high quality and usually priced around the same. It's the fact that they are making a smaller run (means extra cost) and they are higher quality fabrics/stitching.
People are CONSTANTLY complaining to her company because their stuff is higher cost than "similar" stuff you find at Target. Except you know... for the fact that the quality is 50x crappier on Target clothing.
I can understand the complaints if these hoodies are super cheaply made and have cheap fabric/printing... But if the stuff is high quality, don't complain about the high price.
I can almost guarantee you that Riot is not just inflating the price a ton to make huge profits.
With all that said, people complain about the price of my girlfriend's clothing lines, yet the lines sell out completely... so apparently they aren't expensive enough if they are selling out.
Actually, it's quite similar to many of thinkgeek's higher quality hoodies in price. (i.e. costume hoodies)
My gripe is the 25 dollars for ugly ass chibi figurines.

I'm sorry but as someone who's family has been in this business for like 20 years, you guys are crazy suckers to think this is not overpriced as all hell. Honestly, I'm kind of glad they came out with this, it gives me an idea of how much they're trying to rip me off elsewhere. But hey, riot knows that for most of you guys, this is the right price point for these products so on their end, I'd probably do the same.
As a Thresh main, I totally am paying those 80 euros as soon as the shipping becomes available to Portugal.

Cheap ones start at $70. Add quality and you are looking in the 100's range.

This is about what a lot of companies charge for good quality hoodies. So it really depends on the quality. If they're good quality, have a long lifespan, and are relatively warm... then I'd be perfectly happy paying 70-80 dollars for a hoodie. Hell I paid ~100 for one from Jinx once, and was perfectly happy with the purchase because it looks awesome, had a pretty good lifespan, and suited my purposes for what I needed at the time.
The ThinkGeek hoodies are terrible, from everything I've heard. Their shirts are usually pretty good, but their hoodies just don't stand up from what I've seen and heard... so it's a damned good thing they charge less for them ;)
You have to look at it like this. The lesser quantity they have, they have to sell a higher price to make money. Now if they were selling these by the shitloads every day and what not they would be cheap (in price) not as much as the cheap crappy clothes walmart sells but certainly not $65-$80.
lets compare walmart and a hobby store(magic-yugioh/etc) Walmart buys a shit load so they get it at a discount and sell it to us cheaper The hobby shop cant compete with Walmarts warehouse or on a global scale So they can't buy that much so they can't get a discount so the hobby shop sells their cards/etc a bit higher.
People bitch and moan about these hobby shops are to high but don't want to support the Venue they go to play in competitive tournaments where they can win prizes and get some sort of fame among the players....wait I think i went off track...what was the topic again?
Maybe if it was water proof, infrared, and breathable I might consider it, otherwise those prices are nuts, imo.

Meanwhile, Buckle charges 200 dollars for ripped up blue jeans that are the ((scene emo look)) with 0 usage other than "Look at me, my jeans are ripped . . . mechanically." It's quite sad.
I think the last hoodie I bought was $80. Quality costs money, and a lot of people are used to the generic Chinese-made Wal-Mart quality crap that you wear for a year before it fades or falls apart. Having a small production run also increaes the price, as was mentioned earlier. The main issue here is, with the store being beta, Riot hasn't clearly communicated what sort of quality these hoodies are on the storefront itself so we don't really know what we're paying for.
I can buy a kick ass Leather Jacket for that.
That is pretty cheap compared to other game hoodies
hoodies should cost around 30-40 after the labor costs/percentage the company that makes them for you... riots jacking up the prices because they hate making sales for the less wealthy players.
I'm not spending over 35 for any piece of clothing outside of shoes for my kitchen (anti slip generally around 80-120 for a pair of good quality shoes that will last 2~ years with the minor cost of replacing insouls) or a necklace/bracelet/earrings i buy for my girlfriend.
I might would buy a hoodie, but 2x, really? 4x would be kind of tight, wtb 5X (I have a 54 inch chest measurement, so don't assume i'm 700lbs)
I would totally buy some if they weren't so expensive :(
