Aurelion Sol builds Runic Echoes in midlane?

http://champion.gg/champion/AurelionSol/Middle He actually comes out winning more games with it too.

I don't understand though, why bother a jungle item in lane when you could just get Ludens.

His highest win rate Jungle build doesn't have a Jungle item nor Smite, that should tell you something about the accuracy of the data.

If a champion roams a lot in the early minutes of the game, the Riot API can get confused on where that champion is actually trying to lane. That, in turn, can result in them getting assigned to the wrong lane for stat sites like champion.gg

Ah, I hadn't bothered to check his other roles, I was just skimming through to get to the Reddit threads on and it caught my eye. Thanks for clearing that up.

But we have dynamic queue now, so the data should be almost 100% accurate on that now. It should be the role you queued up as, so it would only get confused if two people swap lanes in champion select.

  1. Dynamic Queue is the ability to play with groups of 2-5 players in Ranked, and has nothing to do with the lanes you go to.
  2. You pointed out exactly why the old system of determining where someone is going has to stay. There's nothing automated that accounts for someone going double jungle or swapping roles, so at the end of the day the system has to check what it sees to report on it.

Now, websites could choose to double check Riot's conclusion about where a player is going, but that'd take more work and some guesses on their part. For most it's easiest to just blame the errors on Riot and move on.
