Executioner's Calling is such a strong item

It counters soo many champions, and it is sooo cheap it is extra cheap. It is a very cheap item that counters champions. It baffles me that I have to spam paragraphs explaining this item exists and what it does. Like it's sooo good I've at times been tempted to get it on mages.

It looks like this item 3123 it builds into this item 3033

It counters this item 3812 item 3072 item 3144item 3153 item 3074 item 3146 item 2140 item 3065

It counters them Aatrox Darius DrMundo Ekko ( i'm actually not entirely sure on ekko it probably doesn't help his life back ult i need confirmation ) Fiddlesticks Fiora Graves Illaoi Irelia Janna Kindred Lissandra Maokai MasterYi Mordekaiser Nami Nasus Olaf Renekton Sona Soraka Swain Trundle Udyr Vladimir Volibear Warwick Zac

It is such an amazing item as someone that plays tanks and AP's often you AD's baffle me honestly. item 3165 The grievous wounds of this item is crap compared to it.

Odd, I think heals and shields are far too strong and need to be addressed

I think the way the Last Whisper builds into two different items balances this out. So first of all, this item isn't entirely useful long term if the opponent has no one who is armor stacking, since it combines into Mortal Reminder. And in the case that they do have tanky opponents, the alternative item Lord Dominik's Regards is much stronger. This way Mortal Reminder is only useful in extreme healing cases. Otherwise, I agree, it'd be bought all the dang time and it'd shut down any champion with a heal at all.

I honestly just get the executioner's till late game however when the enemy team has a champion depending on healing there is no late game team fights just get worse and worse for them. Like in my elo people are afraid of ww like terrified I tell them buy executioner's he will die quick and they still don't once i get it he dies and they're like yea! idk what happened but yea! i'm strong enough now! i'm like derpa herp.

Yeah they really need to change up how grevious wounds work. The mechanic is good but it's way too easily applied and messes up all the gameplay for certain champions like Mundo.

What Riot needs to do, is rework Grievous wounds so that it's not a Static % healing reduced, but rather something that can vary from source to source.

Imagine if Executioners only did 20% Grievous wounds, where building it into a completed item gave you the full 40% percent.

The main issue I have with it is how easy it is to apply, and how long it can be kept up. Morrellonomicon requires them to be fairly low and realistically can't be reapplied as frequent or on as many targets easily due to Executioners applying on auto attacks. There's also the cost difference for the effects between the two.

While this is true you also have to think champions that life steal / spell vamp are usually very strong and hard to deal with without some form of counter. Think on swain for example it's almost unfair to fight him because not only does he do a lot of damage he also heals back while doing it. A mage that needs to build the morello's first which would take at least 2 backs normally and by that point he too will be stronger so getting him to 40% health is hard especially on a team fight. And if you build this up he does loses his advantage if anything he might be at some disadvantage this is honestly true but it's also true that he remians doing a lot of damage. It turns into a kill him before he kills you rather than "oh shit run swain is here"

Morellonomicon actually says it requires 35% not 40%. According to patch history patch 6.9 had it go from 40% to 35% with the duration going from 5 seconds to 8 seconds. Lifesteal simply is something I don't think should be stacked and ADCs don't need to be better at apply GW. They're already generally better at several other things with some now basically being similar to mages with auto attacks that actually hurt. I've always thought healing should be balanced differently with GW being something lower and just being a bonus, rather than healing just either being useless or too difficult to deal with; especially because if you're a mage during periods where healing is too strong you don't have much you can do unless they're almost dead where as ADCs get to reduce it with no effort, even earlier in the game every single time they fight someone.

i can agree from playing Maokai tank support i'm usually laughing at the enemy team until the adc builds it

In order for executioners to even work, you would have to harass them every 4 seconds. In my opinion, health regeneration/life steal from item 1054 item 3153 item 3812 are broken.

It's not stat efficient at all though
