Removing Chalice completely could actually help mana heavy AP mages.

I know what ur thinking " WTF? Is this guy trolling?" Well, before u downvote hear me out.

Chalice offers MR, CDR, and Mana. AP mages in turn need a way to counter the early game MR that other mages get with a chalice by buying sorc boots. If we remove chalice, then mages would be more open to get a Tear / Morellos, meaning less early game MR on mages. This could lead to certain utility mages, like malz, and lux, getting CDR boots + Tear since they wont need to break down the 25 MR other mages have, then also increasing their late game AP considerably. Thus making them more useful overall, without sacrificing damage.
