So I played Sivir into Irelia and Pyke.

Thinking my Spellshield would stop their R's from hitting me.

Turns out, even through spellshield. Pyke R will kill you. Which is stupid.

Irelia's is a bit complicated though.

You can spellshield the initial impact of it, and it doesn't mark you or deal damage to you. But it still breaks. Which is find kind of silly. Because if that is how spellshields are suppose to interact then it should be consistent with Lee Sin.

Either Lee Sin should be able to jump to you after he lands the Q after the spellshield

Irelia's R doesn't break up creating that zone.

Its just an inconsistency. She is rewarded for your outplay. Which is really stupid.

Someone want to clear something up for me here? Or is Sivir just bad because her Spell Shield only works against certain champions.

Pyke's ult will kill someone regardless of spell shielding. The only way to avoid dying to it is to become untargetable (like Vlad's W) or immune to death (like with Kindred/Tryndamere's ults).

I'm guessing Sivir's E interacts with Irelia's ult the same way it interacts with Jarvan's. Spell shielding it will not prevent the "terrain" from being created.

You can also flash it (or dash quickly enough) before it lands.

Every game I played of Pyke a week after his release, pretty much landing his ult became impossible since everyone saves their flash for it.

His ultimate eats up so much of his power budget so, if you avoid it and prevent him from getting a chain going, it goes a long way towards beating him and his team.

Lee's Q applies a debuff and relies on that debuff for the 2nd part.

Irelia's R does not rely on a debuff. It works like Ashe's R which still does the slow AoE when spell shielded. That's how Ashe's R interacted with spell shields since day 1 so I'd say that's a pretty strong precedent.

Pyke's R ignoring spell shields sounds like some horse shit to me though.

True Damage and Execute effects cannot be spell shielded.

You can spell shield Garen ultimate. You can spell shield Darius ultimate. You can spell shield Olaf E.

Yeah, its super annoying. Is there an official RIOT list of "what shields block what" anywhere? Does anybody know?

I found this thread while looking into Morganas Black Shield. Had a game as Morg against LB, LB consistently managed to land her chain on me and stun me with shield on. If I have shield on, she lands the chain, the shield doesnt break, then stun still goes off. If I shield after she lands a chain, stun goes off. So I have useless 'magic spellshield'. Infuriating. item 3751

Couldn't find any info on this that isn't few years old. If this isnt a bug or a cheat then can RITO at least explain their logic to us simple mortals?

You can't spell shield Kayn's ultimate either

Or at least once he's inside of you you are going to take damage regardless of the shield

Funny interaction with Sivir Ult... if there is a Ziggs on the enemy team you can completely negate his ult. In a teamfight if his ult hits spellshield, it will just disappear and do no damage to anyone.
