I thought 'diversity' and 'clarity through consistency' were two of Riot's main design philosophies.
Then why are you inhibiting a 'Dark Horse' Support like Shaco by inconsistently letting abilities interact with Spellthief's Edge?

Okay I just read on the Wiki that Jack in the Box specifically does not apply spell effects. So that is why. It doesn't apply any spell effects such as spellvamp or rylais slow or spelltheifs.

Okay I read some more and rylais is a special case and applies the slow as a "summoned minion" but it appears that is the only spell effect in the game that gets applied.
Illâoi Evê Siôn3 votesZyra's plants are classified the same as Shaco's traps and yet they apply different effects. If Zyra's plants get to proc Tribute (Spellthief's passive) then Shaco's boxes should be able to, too.
Edit: Apparently Zyra's plants are minions and Shaco's boxes pets.

No, they aren't classified the same way and no Shaco boxes don't apply Rylai's or Liandry's. They should though, it would be pretty ace.

And Zyra's plants are classified as minions, while Shaco's boxes are classified as pets. So you were right about that. But that only supports the inconsistency aspect I was criticizing.

Also due to lack of interaction with the 'report a bug' boards, I do not trust Riot to put any resources into fixing the bug of a dark horse champion in the near future. Threads in the more popular boards get more recognition. Popular bugs are sometimes even fixed immediately due to exposure. By being critical you usually get more recognition, so I thought I'd make another thread here with that in mind. It can't hurt. And I'd really like this to get fixed by next patch's time, because I can't play and then abandon Support Shaco if it isn't, and I can't play League seriously if I'm constantly flailing as Support Shaco, and I really want to play Support Shaco D:
