VGUs>New Champions>Class Updates
This is general how I rate the new champion based content Riot puts into the game.
VGUs tend to be awesome, breathing new life into old friends. A lot are great (
), some are pretty good (
), and occasionally they'll be dogshit (
) (sorry, but I hate his rework with a passion).
New champions tend to be hit or miss for me, sometimes Riot will create arte (
), sometimes they'll give us fun new concepts (
), but a lot of the time, they'll have a couple patches where they're broken before being beaten into the ground with the nerf hammer (
). Oh, and some are
)....FUCK.
Class updates....oh dear. Cool conceptually...less-than-stellar in execution. The juggernaut update was uh....non-ideal and I'm pretty sure only
has survived the nuclear fallout relatively unscathed. The marksman update leans towards being overpowered in my eyes, and gave us
who I love with all my heart, but it also gave us
and
top. N o t l i k e t h i s. Next we have the mage rework, AKA the what-did-
-ever-do-to-deserve-this rework. The fallout from this one is still readily apparent in your solo queue games, half of the major reworks are now seen primarily as supports, and mages have been very dominant since this rework was implemented. Except for
and
, the poor bastards. Lastly we have the assassin update, in which everyone thought
was gonna be OP and
was gonna eat dick, but then the opposite happened. Then everyone learned how to play these two and the gates to hell opened. Also
became mid lane
and
+
put their differences aside to hunt and kill everyone else. I've definitely missed a lot of points, but the point is, these are in my opinion, not that good overall, and I've gone from being excited for them, to straight out dreading them.
Anyway to sum this all up, Riot, please Kog'maw Malzahar. Please?
TL;DR: Title & I'm an old Malzahar fanboy.
