There is such a thing as a KS
KS = Kill secured
KS = Kill secured
PENTA-SECURE.
A kill is a kill is a kill.
kill la kill
A kill is a kill is a kill.
Don't let anymore get away!
Well KS does exist for the blood brothers
. You want to give Draven the kill as often as you can so he can make the most of his passive, and there have been times where I played Darius and died before I could unlock my passive because a teammate kills a low HP enemy even if they see the guillotine animation going off
and that's exactly the reason Darius' rework is horrible design IMO... the fact that the difference between a won game and a lost game hinges on a target dying before you can land the killing blow with your ult is a pretty horrible design decision no matter how you look at it
It was worse before the rework. It encouraged him to KS his allies even though he had terrible scaling. At least now your team stands to benefit by giving Darius the kills in fights
absolutely not, before the rework you didn't need to use your ult to kill enemies, it was a luxury now your team gets PUNISHED for not letting you KS them, which is something that didn't happen before (there was no difference between your ult animation cancelling because a teammate killed an enemy before you did and you getting the killing blow with your ult)
U don't need it now. Reworked darius is stronger than pre rework even without his passive.
It's just that his passive turns him into an unstoppable monster with like 500 ad on a tank with good ratios.
I loved that thread. That was one of the first things I saw when I came back to league.
I found this in the comments:
It was as cringy as you unironically saying "you sir." Also stop saying Darius is too strong as if it was fact.
Boy oh boy... I bet that guy feels stupid now.
because a teammate kills a low HP enemy even if they see the guillotine animation going off
If the target dies before his ult does damage, it doesn't go on CD.
The problem isn't the cool down, it's that the kill would activate Darius passive.
the worst part is someone is wasting abilities on an already dead opponent to snatch away a 200 ad bonus + reset from a teammember.
Its literally aiding the enemy team and report worthy imho as you just take out 2 of your team from the next 10 seconds of the fight . . .
KSing isn't when the support shoots a lazy auto attack and it just happens to get a kill.
KSing is when someone Karthus Ults to pick up a kill bot that was going to be "secure" anyways to pad their stats.
Or when someone Flashes in for a kill when the person was one AA away from dying to a different person anyway.
What about when your teammate is about to kill the enemy with the last AA, but then your teammate teleport in, flashes, dashes, and then finishes them off before you could.
Not only is that a KS, but that's just a waste of a TP and a Flash
The key point is excessive waste of resources for limited benefits. However, if they can really make use of that gold it might be justifiable.
The other day I had a quadrakill going, and right before I kill the last one Quinn comes flying outta the base at 10,000mph and swoopes in and takes it.
Like come on man.
But as a result, bot lane gets assists (which is still gold), Karthus gets more fed (as a hypercarry AP) and the enemy bot lane gets sent back to the fountain (losing exp and gold). Still a very good, if not better, overall result in my opinion.
If I were playing with a Karthus, I would hold off the killing blow to let his ult get it because gold is not wasted on a Karthus, and at least not to waste that 100 second cd ult.
I may be wrong on this, but I'm pretty sure you don't get gold from assists anymore. I think that changed last season? Then again, I could be wrong.
Really?? I need to check on this. If they did put in a change like this, it does change things. Personally I think such a change is unreasonable though, as they're in general, reducing the already low gold income of the support class.
I mean you can try to rationalize it. I have friends who do this very bullshit to pad their stats and it pisses me off.
The way you're describing this, it's the intention behind it that makes it good or bad. The way I see it, regardless of the intention, if it achieves an outcome (like winning), then it's still a good thing despite the motive behind it being slightly less than honorable.
Overall, there are very few situations where a dead enemy is a bad thing so while there can possibly be a reduction in gains (if the support gets the kill over the ADC for instance), it is still a net gain for your team and a net loss for the enemy. Unless it's a trade, which I generally view as bad, 0/0 is better than 1/1 to me.
Hey man. Karthus needs kills to you know.

"b-b-but my precious kill count" "you ruined my life" "pls report this noob kser on my team"
lol why am I being downvoted it's sarcasm
Wrong.
There is a scope of value. Using a high value move to "secure" a kill that was already, no matter what, going to happen, ESPECIALLY if you had already been set to get an assist on it, is a kill "steal". Things like blowing your Flash for a kill, using your ignite to over-ride another ally's ignite just so it's yours that ticks down the foe, or popping a high value teamfight ulti just to ensure you specifically get the kill on a target that will be dead no matter what.
Meanwhile, there are things like Sona landing her Q and it being a killing blow. Is that a kill steal? No. That is a kill SECURE. Meanwhile, Sona using her ult to kill a low hp support who was already being focused down by the ADC is a kill STEAL. Bonus points to if her team loses the fight because she used her ulti to "secure" the kill on the support rather than go for the 4 man stun that was in the other direction.
So true
I get it.
Amen.
I mean. When you flash in front of me to kill someone with a single AA, when I'm the one that took their HP down to that amount and would clearly get the kill had you not flashed. That's not securing, that's stealing. lol
thats the adc support bot lane relationship usually the support who pokes and gets the hp down but some times you get the support that wants to be the kser. anyway its not like adcs dont still have their cs not giving them the kills isnt putting them behind its just not putting them as ahead as they could have been and if you talk about what could have been in league this could have been a better game everyone could have been better players and it would eventually lead to more and more toxicity
Bronze and Silver players be like "WOW ADC STOLE MY KILL, PLEASE REPORT HIM"
If I'm handling a one v one and I'm at like 80% health and they are almost dead and you launch something our way when I didn't need help its a steal. Am I going to complain? No but I'm going to be annoyed you wasted time and resources on an already resolved issue when you could have been doing something actually productive like taking towers etc
I had a trist be in a 1v1 once. Against a same level and item build draven.
Draven was at 10% she was at 70%...draven crit 2 times and won.
So I got raged at for not helping. When if I had helped and taken the kill I would of got raged at. Being a support is a lose/lose sometimes.
That was the day I decided to give it my 100% even if it's 5v1 and the enemy has 1 life. Because I've seen some shit that will blow your mind.
This. Especially outplay intensive champs like Yasuo/Vayne who can magically get themselves 2 kills while at 25% hp sometimes. I'd rather just nuke all her hp out and get the kill than risk them pulling off some crazy stunt that gets us killed.

That's fair but I was more thinking of situations when the enemy is running away. Cases like late game kind of throw it out the window because having one person becomes a way bigger deal.
I sort of wish more people would sham the people who say KS. I do any time I'm not involved in the situation.
E.g. "Really, dude? KS in this game? Be thankful we got a kill at all."
Is irritating though when they're basically starving certain people though. Like if there was a risk, I get it, but if I'm ulting on Jhin and can clearly get the kill with 2 bullets to spare, don't do a flash Q onto the target... Multiple times...
I have inadvertantly secured so many kills with Tormented Soil
That's easy to get kills with as Morgana because her W does more damage the less health they have, and your teammates might not kill them fast enough so the W picks it up.
That is more of a kill secure. But when you are 1 v 1ing someone, and one of your teammates dashes in when your enemy is at 10% health and hits them with one AA or spell and takes it from you, THAT is a kill steal.
Well when
First came out on live, if her Oathsworn attack after her and the proc on her w kill the target, it would come up with a small text line saying 'Kill secured'.
I once was about to get a solo kill and my jungler was headed top lane, so to make sure his venture to top lane was not waste he flash auto'd the enemy and got the kill. I understand KS = kill secured, but thats just a dickhead thing to do <.<
Not if Draven's doing it.
when some one on ur team, lets say a lee, walks next to the enemy as you and your support are killing said enemy bringing it down from 100% to 10% just for him to ult to get the kill at the end
its kinda a dick move, just saying
but yeah more often then not ks is kill secured
