I'm tired of these posts saying "I'm Quitting" or "League isn't even fun anymore"

Honestly like it's just getting on my nerves, if you have something useful to say about how to improve the game or how to make it more fun I'm all up for your suggestions, but just telling us how unfun the game is is not useful whatsoever. I don't care if you quit, and no one else does either. Do you really think saying like "This game sucks so much I'm leaving" is going to help Riot with feedback? That's like calling customer service and telling them your item is broken I'm throwing it away. Do you do that? No! You actually help work out the problem instead of just complaining about how the item sucks.

How about we try to give some constructive criticism instead of just yelling at Riot. Most of these posts aren't even asking them to help they are just saying how much the game sucks. Like really, get a grip. Change your attitude. I don't want to act like you are 6 but please grow up and approach the problem in a professional way that might actually get stuff done. Hell I don't blame Riot for just dismissing almost everything said on the boards, because there is no actual advice given. People ask for red responses on subjects they aren't even asking a question, there is all this talk about toxicity on the boards, but in actuality, we are flaming riot. Think about that for a while and next time you go to rant at riot take a deep breath think about how your post could actually be useful.

People make suggestions all the time but Riot doesn't listen to them. A few examples ...

Riot: Fiora Community: %hp true damage is a bad idea. Riot: Does it anyway.

Riot: XinZhao Community: Those buffs a unnecessary. Riot: Does it anyway.

Riot: Mordekaiser Community: Melee champs cannot function well in bot lane without being ridiculously op. Riot: Does it anyway.

Its not hard to see why people make those sort of post. Can you honestly say any of them ended up in a healthy state? Nope. All of it could have been avoided if player feedback was heeded.

Sorry but even constructive criticism won't help. Not because Riot doesn't listen but because the boards are, by and large, terrible sources of suggestions. If boards had their way:

  • Every single assassin would be dumpstered
  • Tanks would be broken
  • ADCs would have all the changes that made them unique removed in favor of "We all shot at varying ranges."
  • The game would be balanced around a primarily Bronze/Silver level of understanding.

G&B doesn't want the game to evolve. They want the game to regress. They want to go back to times with problems. There is no vision for the future, there's only nostalgia blindness. The one time, in recent memory, that I can recall Riot listening to the community by a majority was the Garen and Skarner reworks. Two reworks so absolutely busted right out of the gate that they needed hotfixing. Riot didn't do that, community input did.

Oh. And this whole "OMG STOP RANK PRIVILEGE" shit needs to stop too. A Diamond player saying you're wrong and explaining why isn't a bully and you don't have the same gameplay knowledge as him. Quit acting like a victim because you're not good at this game. (Not directed at the OP. Just directed at the G&B people who see this post and downvote it because "omg shut up I'm 58% win rate in Silver V I'm so good at this game" )

TL;DR I'm bad at league, you're bad at league, 98% of players are bad and they shouldn't be the ones making suggestions on how to change the game.

The thing is how often do Riot ACTUALLY change anything based off the boards? Basically never. Boards say xin buffs are going to be op? They do it anyways. Boards say just make the q on Kogmaw more powerful? They nerf attack speed. And then people have REALLY good ideas that should be SO EASILY implemented like making refillable potion benefit from the potion mastery or putting the feast cd next to thunderlords, but Riot basically never does anything. The ONLY THING that i have seen Riot listen to on the boards in the past 6 months was that they didnt nerf Skarners Q? Maybe his E? and completely gut a champion who never even sees any play. But that is legitimately the only thing i can recall since the Juggernaut Patch. If riot wants constructive criticism, they need to learn to use it, otherwise you just waste peoples time and piss them off.

Everyone HAS been saying what they can do to improve the game. Riot won't listen, which is why people are leaving.

Most people just want towers that aren't wet gobs of paper and the new minion mechanics all removed, and then ADC itemization to be nerfed, or other itemization to be put on-par.

The fact that they continually nerf tank items and buff ADCs is what caused a lot of this.

This post is bad to put is lightly, there have been dozens of construtive post with suggestion on how to fix

  1. Ridiculously long death timers
  2. Turrets being way too weak offensively and defensively
  3. The about 20 champions that are complete cancer and many other problems but they don't listen to any of it, the most we ever get from riot is "we feel these changes are going in the right direction"

Suggestions??? We've given them suggestions left and right, like don't buff champions that don't need to be like LeeSin Lux XinZhao. There were at least half a dozen post on the boards before Xin got buffed saying how he would be too strong and that the buffs should be toned down significantly.

Oh and here's the best part, when Riot doesn't listen to constructive post and suggestions at all, and then people come on to the boards saying they quit or the game is shit, there's people like you that White Knight Riot saying the quitting post get on your nerves and that we should try making suggestions to Riot about how to improve the game. Like fucking really???

PS Bros - if you have a bunch of people stating that it's unfun that is feedback.... it might not be feedback you like, but it is feedback. I don't see you complaining about the "Yi is OP" threads where they just ask for nerfs.... (any champion fits this btw)

See, I make a lot of posts talking about how boring this game can be, and how I'd REALLY love to find a new game worth playing, but I don't bother making suggestions since, in the end, Riot would only lose money.

I come from a generation where gaming was challenging and fun, and developers actually cared about their product and loved what they did. Now, developers are just a bunch of greedy suits out to milk whales for every cent they have, and couldn't care less about their game. Challenge, immersion, quality... these are all irrelevant for games these days, especially F2P.

So, what suggestions would I make? Well:

  • Remove targeted abilities outright and make everything a skillshot. If an ability is still targeted, make it pathetically weak compared to skillshots, and have no major damage or CC.

  • Make AAs NOT the highest source of damage, despite being the easiest, most reliable source of damage in the game.

  • Have more than one map.

  • Actually write lore, not just events meant to hype reworks or skins.

Now, how likely is any of that to happen? Close to zero.

See, in an F2P-ridden gaming industry, good games just don't exist anymore. They don't sell, since fucking brats these days won't lift a finger or use one brain cell to think. So, honestly, why bother making suggestions that would just lose Riot money in the end?

All I can do is continue playing games I can't stand, and hope that a developer who actually gives a damn comes out and releases games that force every other developer to actually put some effort into their products in order to compete. Sadly though, that'll never happen; greed is too fucking rampant a flaw in humanity.

There's nothing constructive you can say to a gaming company that cares more about balance than fun. I couldn't even bring myself to play for a week, because I had no faith I would have any fun.

And I was right. I've played 6 games since my break, and only one of them was fun. What a giant waste of effort and frustration. I don't know why I haven't quit yet.

The only reason people make those posts is because they do still care about the game. When you are truly done with a game you leave quietly.

They bring alerts to Riot. 90% of the changes they made only decreased the fun of this game, yet Riot designers still think they are smart. These posts are just trying to wake them up, to make them realize that their stupidity is growing every single year. We used to post quality feedbacks, a lot of them. But that's no use, they are just constantly ignored and will remain that way until Riot wake up from their daydream and realize they screwed up.

Problem with what you're saying is..........every single day there are posts of people giving suggestions and ideas to fix all the things Riot destroyed since the preseason began, and Riot doesn't listen at all. They take literally 0 suggestions from the community. We've voiced our opinion loud and clear about all the horrible changes they've made, and yet not one response from Riot saying "hey ya guys we screwed up" or "hey guys thanks for the suggestions, we're going to put some of those to use." They've decided for us that the game is better played with friends, even though I would argue at least half the community disagrees with that statement. I don't enjoy playing with friends. It makes the game too casual, like call of duty. People are more focused on dicking around than trying to win. They've decided to take the skill cap and minimize it. Hell, we cant even use warding to get an advantage over our opponents anymore, they've taken that away from us. Warding is one of the things that separates good players from bad ones, but nope, I'm not allowed to have that anymore. They've taken away the ability to to use sweeping lens on invisible enemies....something that, again, separated good players from bad ones. I've seen countless posts on all of these points, and yet.....nothing from Riot. They have made it pretty clear that the community's opinion damn sure doesn't matter AT ALL! They're turning this game into a casual team deathmatch simulator. I've voiced my opinion and made suggestions for so many things I cant even count anymore. But Riot is hell-bent on turning this game into Heroes of the Storm or Smite....games that have a very low skill ceiling. Its honestly going to be funny when this game we all love falls to the middle or bottom of the moba pack in terms of number of players per day. For the last couple of years riot has been light years ahead of them in how many people play the game, but after seeing what riot is doing now.....their numbers are already falling and it will continue until millions upon millions and millions have moved on to other, better games. Riot is like someone who wins the lottery for 500,000,000$ and then spends it all......but then a couple years later has only 20$ left. All they're left to do is shake their collective heads in disbelief and wonder where they went wrong. Guess what Riot?! We've been telling you for months now where you're going wrong! It honestly saddens me to see what they're doing to this game I love so much...but I've already partially moved on to Smite. Once or twice a week I'll try playing 2-3 games of league....and every time I do, I'm reminded of why I don't play it every single day anymore. I mean...you know you've screwed things up big time when your own pro players are complaining about all of your terrible decisions. That's another one of Riot's problems, is that they're way too focused on the LCS. ALL of the changes they've made is b\c of the LCS. Like 2% of the league population even watches or cares about it. But they felt that every game was just starvation tactics, so they made all of these changes so that the team in the lead could easily close out games. But all it's done is cause teams to play even MORE cautious than ever before lol Teams are afraid to take one single solitary risk, cuz it could end the game in seconds. I'm done. Riot's gonna do what they want to do regardless of whether the community likes it or not. They think they know best, when obviously that couldn't be further from the truth.
