Okay i just lost a game purely because of veigar...yes i was fizz so alot of your are gonna say just e when he ults but he only got to ult me once over the course of the game when i finally stepped into a stun. I was literally 1600/2200 hp and veigar ulted me and it did around 1700 damage...he didn't even q me hec walked up press q autoed me into his stun then veigar pressed r...like i know hes a lategame champ but i feel like if i wasn't playing fizz what counterplay is there to that? I could of build abysall but that would of gave me 20% more resitanced which is about 300 less damage from his ult that is just so stupid imo point and click execute that can execute at 75% hp

This is what happens when the late game farm champion, gets to late game, why you're surprised I don't know.

There's always someone surprised. It's the shock of reality coming a knocking that does it.

For it to do 1700 damage, Veigar needs over 1175 AP if you had 1600/2200 health, without counting MR or MPen. Even with Void Staff, MR will significantly reduce damage, meaning he needs well over probably 1300-1400 AP.

You are either making it up intentionally, lying because you honestly forgot, or the game went on ridiculously, absurdly long.

Assuming you had around 75 MR, his ultimate did around 3000 damage prior to MR. Meaning he needs over 2400 AP.

Equation to calculate AP needed for 1700 true damage: (((1700/(((1-(72/99)) x 1.5)+1))-325))/75 x 100

1700 damage. (1-(72/99)) x 1.5 calculates the increase in damage. +1 makes it (100+X)% of the original. 1700 divided by above gets damage prior to missing health bonus. 325 is base damage at max rank. 75% AP scaling, thus /75x100.

Equation to calculate MR reduction multiplier of magic damage if you have more than 0 MR: 100/(100+MR)

So 1700/above equation gets damage prior to MR reduction. Plug that back into first equation to find actual AP in the relevant fight, because his ult deals magic, not true.

So, want to retract your statement?

Either way, if you died to Veigar, it is 100% your fault. His Q and E are dodgeable. His E is cleanseable. I forget if Fizz's E can leap over the cage. If he lands his W on you without stunning you first, you are awful at this game. If he lands his E on you and hits his W/Q, you deserve to die. If you were low health and didn't respect his damage from his ult, you deserve to die. If you don't get MR/other defensive items, you deserve to die.

Is that a short joke?

i mean you didn't build any MR and he was a late game Veigar, its expected

Maybe it was just a luck or you had 75% hp because if you had 100% he would deal 100%.

That sounds about right if he farmed up AP well at all. Through masteries, runes, and the abyssal reduction you had near 0 MR.

I looked at the game and even without 1 AP per champion hit his ult was doing 1500 against 0 MR which is essentially what you had. Hard to say the exact number without knowing his AP though, I can only estimate off of what I see.
