I have been playing for about a month now and close to level 30. I was hoping some of you more experienced players could answer some questions for me.

  1. When you’re playing a game and know you’re not going to win do you get more experience and gold for surrendering or playing the match out? Like you build exp and gold the longer you play?
  2. KSing or kill stealing? I know what it is but I was wondering if you’re in a team fight and everyone is attacking and you happen to get the kill and someone yells at you to stop KSing them is this even a KS or is that person just stupid. When I support I will always try to leave last hit to my ADC even on champs but if I feel like the enemy champ is getting away I will kill them. Am I in the wrong here or should i just let the enemy champ get away?
  3. Is there a website or something where you can find like-minded players to play with instead of getting set up in matches with random toxic people?

  1. It's not clear, I think in general you get more XP/time for a long game but only if you win. In general don't worry about that, I think the difference is minimal.
  2. Except in cases where it is exceedingly blatant, it's called a Kill Secured. While it's usually preferred to give the carries the kill, this can be risky in solo queue. Generally at higher level play nobody gets upset about kill steals because the fact that the enemy is dead is more important. And obviously, if you're going to die if you don't take the kill, take it. A death for no death is always better than a trade.
  3. I know there's some out there but be wary it's community is insane. A lot of people think they aren't toxic but are. I would suggest just meeting people, seeing how they are, but don't feel like you owe them anything.

The reason i even ask question 1 is i have been in a few games where it looked like we were going to lose but then everyone gets leveled and gets their champ built and we come from behind and win. Then i have been in games where as soon as our first tower goes down you see a surrender box and it is just annoying.

  1. I don't think so. It depends on farm, kills, and scaling champions being able to do well late game.
  2. I don't believe in KSing being a thing (unless you blatantly last hit the guy xD). Assists are also worth a decent amount of gold and EXP, and it's often beneficial to take/give kills depending on who you are playing. Usually you want to give kills to the person carrying or the adc/mid lane.
  3. Yes, there are multiple gaming communities that you can google (like OGZ) that have things like tournaments, team speak chat rooms, and more. If you don't want to do that though, I suggest making a tab in your friends list labeled "nice people" and then friend those who are nice in your games. Eventually, you will have enough that there are always people on, and you can have games with them instead.

Gratz on almost level 30 and good luck on the Rift!
