When your botlane is a literal monkey

Is Wukong good botlane as an adc?

I mean, he deletes people like marksmen would. His Q melts turrets like marksmen would. His kit is great vs. marksmen/squishies. Blitz/Thresh literally cannot grab him while he has W off of cooldown (or his teammate behind him for that matter). Also he gets a little mileage from his passive in a 2v2 lane so there's that I guess.

On paper it sounds nice.

I've supported it before. If you both go relic and play safe till 6 you can come out ahead.

in the right matchups? probably

I'd rather have a Wukong ADC that does well over my monkey IRL teammates bot lane.

It could definitely work, but against a heavy poke lane its gonna SUCK til 6.

Fair. Doran's Shield is definitely core; you might even double up and get Relic after lol.

edit: I tried it out and I WAS A BETA so jk; Dblade is best in most cases so long as you can dodge projectiles. The armor/MR gets more mileage than I thought thanks to enchanter/Relic Shield supports.

You'll be down in CS all game by nature of not having 500+ range but win the game for your entire team on the basis of being Wukong. Just build Sheen and a Vamp Scepter and then whatever you want, really. Literally whatever you want to build that involves AD or burst damage works past that point and you're good lol.

This is pretty sick! I just carried a game even though I had a support Ez that started coin + Klepto and rushed Manamune. He didn't even build IBG later...he built Triforce. And did literal nothing. And the enemy team was a stacked Vayne/Heim/Rumble/Braum/Twitch. After that kind of match it's hard not to be convinced to go into ranked with this strat lol.

edit2: Just played another match where I just initiated for Yasuo all game and I died every time but we won every teamfight. 5/12/11 unga bunga

I’d say he’s better as a support than an ADC. Rush Lethality to delete enchanters, or (more often) rush Cleaver to shred wardens for your ADC.

Wu has no CC. On top of that, he's not even close to a good laner! He's the one that needs supporting lol. Also I think he needs Doran's Shield over Relic as it complements his otherwise lack of constant sustain and his "please get me to 6 somehow" playstyle. He really wants finished items to boot.

Edit: judging peoples' success with him as support maybe I'm entirely wrong about this lol.

I bet you lock in lux when you get filled to support huh.

Your not playing a support, your playing an assassin next to the adc

I wouldn't say marksmen delete people. They're supposed to be sustained damage that ramps up to crazy levels in the late game. Wukong strikes me more like an assassin (sometimes literally).

Honestly, it depends on the team comps and rank. Until a certain rank, basically anything can work in any lane if you're decent at your champ and don't int.

What leaves me liking the concept of Wu as a carry is that after a certain CDR+level threshhold he has really good dps for an assassin. He shreds his own targets with Q and his ult does amazing damage and will be up every teamfight, not to mention his E gives him a nice amount of AS. And again, his Q melts towers as well. There's a lot going for him as a carry.

Double ap carry bot lane is the new cancer we’ve come to enjoy

Pick an ap champ with wave penetration cc and another ap carry with cc then have at it

depends, he's not a champ that can deal with constant pokes/CC well and bot lane has more variables then top mid or jungle have (like who's your support, who did the enemy pick, will mid roam to bot lane every so often, etc.). I suppose with the right match ups it's doable, but I think overall it's really risky to try. Idk, I'm more of a fan of throwing caution to the wind and giving things a shot if you think it will work out. If you want to try it out don't let anyone stop you. Just keep in mind, he's not a fan of tanks or other fighters, so a Tank support on the enemy team could really hurt him.

ADCs aren't just for damage to objectives like turrets, dragon, or Baron Nashor. They're also for sieging enemies under their turrets, threatening tanks, and cleaning up fights. Wukong cannot reliably do any of those things.

There are situations where you might be able to run Wukong bot, but there's never a real strategical advantage to doing so. Your best case scenarios are going to be those where it's merely permissible. That is, to say, the best you can hope for is that you're not hindering your team. You will never be helping your team by playing him there.
