AP champions are worthless, people would pick supports in solo lanes if they could viably lane

It should not take a full glass cannon build to counteract 1 magic resist item, and if they build 2 theres nothing you can do. Also I can't believe that riot is nerfing sorcery when ap champions are already in a bad spot.

Literally the only reason to pick an ap mage is to force the enemy team to build MR. Picking 2 ap carries in this meta is suicide unless you plan to win hard early. AP junglers and top laners are a meme.

Right now the top tier mid laners are the ones who can support their team the best while bypassing the laning phase with wave clear, the damage is irrelevant. Malzahar is a top tier mid laner just because he has a free laning phase and hes a good support with an AoE silence but more importantly ult to stop anybody from diving the ADC. He is completely worthless in 1 v 1s with low kill potential.

If any support had reliable waveclear, they would immediately be picked over any ap mage just because a second support is much more valuable than ap damage.

Right now the biggest offenders are build damage + mr items, they should honestly just be completely removed or heavily nerfed. AP champions have no similar options that even come close in efficiency.
