is that a clairvoyance spotlight or a sona spotlight cant really tell with how much he talks about clairvoyance but talks about sona

Taric is still good, He's just has superior alternatives for everything he's good at. He used to be the tankiest support in the game, but Tahm Kench ripped that title from his rear gems. He used to be awesome for providing bonus armor for allies that no other support besides the rare Galio could, but the new keystones made him ridiculously less special now. And for the exact same reason, his armor shred is now not as dangerous as it once was. His heals are weak, but that's understandable; they were designed to be weaker than mage heal supports (he's still better than Alistar). He's a tank, but almost every mage support in the game has better CC than he does cause he's from an era when his one CC was pretty decent.

However, while he's not special at anything anymore, he makes a decent jack of all trades. Assuming your adc doesn't get caught by something, you'll win the majority of trade offs if you land your combo. And once you get his core items, he tanks like all hell. I've held 3 people on me for around 3 minutes before they killed me and I even managed to kill one of them first.

But he's still pretty crap in comparison to other supports. Rarely is a Jack-of-all-Trades; Master of None type support really that good. I mean, look at Sona. She is and plenty of people(including her mains) complain about her, and her base stats, not to mention her near useless "initiate"(small speed buff).

I mean, to pick Taric with his stun, extra armor, little bit of damage, a heal, and no initiate over, say, Alistar, with a smaller heal but AOE, an initiate, more reliable CC, peel, and his ult makes him way tankier than Taric could ever be(though granted not all the time). To pick Braum, you get a large AOE knockup and slow for teamfight power, some of the best support damage in the game(besides maybe Nami or Sona), way better ADC protecting and some good CC with his passive and Q slow. Generally there's just a lot better champs compared to Taric nowadays. If Taric was ever a good support, it was wayyy before I started League.

I love taric. Even more this season. Only thing i dislike atm is his ult. Other then that i just click to win baby!
