who in their right mind would build blue smite over red/green smite

red smite and green smite are too efficient at what they do while blue smite is just straight up bad. Either nerf red smite/green smite or buff blue so that it can compete with the other 2 options.

Some people value the CC over the damage. Stealing move speed is pretty good on Hecarim I imagine.

It also had been used to make landing some skill shots easier. It was an issue for Lee, Amu, etc before where they would smite and never miss their Q.

lee already has 2 ways that make landing his Q easier that isn't blue smite. But nice try.

"had been", there were changes made to it a while ago. That also has nothing to do with Amu and etc who are taking blue smite more often, than not. Statistically neither of the 3 are superior in every situation, they vary depending on which enchantment is taken and which champion. Blue smite for example wins more often as Warrior, but Red wins more often on Bloodrazor. Green is the worst stats wise for Warrior/Bloodrazor but the best on Cinderhulk.

You're free to pick which ever one you want though, but at the end of the day blue smite being inferior 100% of the time is your opinion.

The facts are you havent been in a game that would require a blue smite or a player that uses it, i prefer blue over the others and hardly use green since im not big on counter jungling to want to use it.

but honestly blue smite is used pretty more commonly then green smite overall but many junglers for chasing, getting away and ganking, i dont see a game where blue is not taken, so nice try in thinking blue is not efficient enough.

you were given the facts in the first comment but refuse to see the implications of each smite.

let put it this way, each smite is like the three types of bot lanes you can play, blue smite is like a poke bot lane, red is like the kill bot lane and green is like the farming bot lane, or atleast thats how you can think of using them.

if you are still adamant in thinking blue is not efficient in the game for any reason then i think you might want to go study up on the uses of each smite and how they are used correctly so you have a better understanding of jungling.

No they don't. They value superior dueling power. i've rarely ever seen hecarim build blue smite. Why would you anyway

Stalkers blade turns your smite into a point and click slow which I find to be pretty useful. I can't imagine you taking green or red on Sejuani, Nautilus , or any other tanky cc jungler.

I run blue smite on Kha'zix. It helps chain CC by using the slow to reach range for my passive (and another slow) during ganks.

item 3711 - No damage item 3715 - DoT item 3706 - Instant damage

There's situations, like you'd probably prefer the instant damage to snipe somebody or catch somebody who's faster, such as Udyr Volibear Skarner Hecarim or even to counter their blue smite. I often take blue smite on elise in these kind of match ups since they will be completely unable to catch me, or the damage reduction of red smite won't matter.

Red smite is good for duelist since its like a diet exhaust that does some bonus burn damage and makes you deal more, so its good if you're MasterYi XinZhao Elise since you're both harder to kill and do more damage overall and have the mobility/CC to not give a damn for blue smite to catch something.

Green smite is all about utility, either you're See Lin for ward hoping, or your strategy is about controlling vision for your team rather than 1v1ing or chasing/kiting. You can get this for complete control of the enemy jungle's position or to help your support ward so the ADC shuts up. Its a strategic smite upgrade since it does nothing really for your smite, but for the game itself.
