Revert the Last Hecarim Buff

SirPurrr··9 votes·6,107 views

He doesn't deserve it. He ganks well, scales well, splits well, snowballs super well, teamfights well, farms well... very little he doesn't do well... now he even shreds tanks well with Conqueror and stacking Q damage :( He's outclassing the entire SQ jungle roster atm.

Hecarim PATCH HISTORY:

summoner 4 Patch 9.6 Q stacks correctly and increases damage. We're givin' the pony an extended-combat buff to help out his more bruiser-y builds (not the ones where he rushes out of Fog of War to one-shot you).

Q - Rampage ANGRY Deals 10% additional damage per stack of Rampage

summoner 4 Patch 9.4 Q cost, E cooldown decreased. We're giving Hecarim some light performance boosts in his early game to help him stirrup the competition against others.

Q - Rampage COST : [32/34/36/38/40] ⇒ 28/31/34/37/40 mana

** E - Devastating Charge** COOLDOWN : [24/22/20/18/16] ⇒ 20/19/18/17/16 seconds

summoner 4 v8.16 Q base damage increased at later ranks. Q damage ratio increased. Hecarim is pretty weak currently, but we want to be careful about how we buff him. A bit more extended dps should help him shine in the mid-game without making him into a one-shot monster.

Q - Rampage BASE DAMAGE : [55/90/125/160/195] ⇒ 55/95/135/175/215 DAMAGE RATIO : [0.6] ⇒ 0.7 bonus attack damage

summoner 4 v8.7 W healing increased. A melee champion who likes to build semi-squishy needs more durability in his kit if he's going to cut it in a sustained teamfight. More healing from W should help Hecarim turn his trot into a gallop some games.

W - Spirit of Dread HEAL : [20%] ⇒ 30% of damage taken by enemies

summoner 4 v7.22 BASE ARMOR : [26.72] ⇒ 36 BASE ATTACK DAMAGE : [58] ⇒ 66

Q - Rampage BASE DAMAGE : [50/85/120/155/190] ⇒ 55/90/125/160/195

E - Devastating Charge MIN BASE DAMAGE : [40/75/110/145/180] ⇒ 45/80/115/150/185 MAX BASE DAMAGE : [80/150/220/290/360] ⇒ 90/160/230/300/370

summoner 4 v7.17 E no longer ticks down during R’s charge. R fear duration now scales with distance traveled. As an undead rider, the idea of Hecarim riding his opponents down is quite compelling. At the moment, it’s very common for Hecarim to ride up to somebody, then ult from point-blank range, which just doesn’t feel very horsey. To give him that good cavalry feel, we’re tweaking his ultimate—and the way it interacts with Devastating Charge—so he can feel better about aggressive, long-range engagements.

E - Devastating Charge CAN’T STOP WON’T STOP Duration no longer ticks down during Onslaught of Shadow's charge

R - Onslaught of Shadows FEAR DURATION : [1 second] ⇒ 0.75 - 1.5 seconds (based on how far Hecarim traveled with his Spectral Riders)

summoner 3 v6.15 Attack damage and Q damage down. For a sustain tank who scales hard into the late game, Hecarim is pretty strong from the get-go. Currently, he's farming up and scaling a bit too quickly, letting him burst targets without having to build much damage. Hecarim should have to trot before he can gallop - we're reining in his base damage to make him invest in damage if he wants to one-shot people.

BASE ATTACK DAMAGE : [61.37] ⇒ 58 Q - Rampage DAMAGE : [60/95/130/165/200] ⇒ 50/85/120/155/190

How does conqueror let hec kill tanks??? Since he builds item 3078,item 3053 then full tank meaning his damage is already low vs a tank and 10% is not helping that yeah in a 1v1 it helps but you never 1v1 a tank as hec and even if you did it would still take hec a good amount of time to kill a tank.

"How does free AD and 10% total armor pen kill tanks"?

Not sure

It doesn't help him, hec will still have a hard time killing tank 10% is not helping much and 18ad is also not helping much.

I also basically said this in my first post so thanks for replying to a post you did not read.

Hecarim needed a little push, he was at a 47% winrate and the Q mana cost and E cooldown reductions "only" managed to push him to a bit more than 48%, so still not ideal. Buffing his main damage source by 10% however is a bit extreme and should be reverted, if Riot wants to buff his bruiser build and not the oneshot build they could instead buff the amount of healing Hecarim gets from his W which would help him quite a bit I think in skirmishes and late game teamfights without making his lane stupid OP (if Hecarim wants to use his W in lane he quickly runs oom).

They'd rather not buff something defensive, so... EVEN MOAR DAMAGE!

people can only do good with Hecarim when he is blatantly broken and people who know how to play Hecarim had high winrates. go figure.

Hecarim actually scales very poorly. He spikes at 15 min then steadily declines in win rate for the rest of the game.

With the Conqueror build and a bruiser setup, he scales just fine.

Stats say otherwise.

50% win rate late for a broken tier mid game champ!!? oh no, not AVERAGE!?

also he's pick/ban so many people have no idea how to play him late or in general and are not even building him properly

he's certainly not weak late if you know how to use your W and R properly

The stats literally show that he's overwhelmingly powerful at the start, but quickly loses that edge as the game drags out. I never said his early game wasn't soul crushing.

I said he scales fine with the bruiser build when played correctly. 50% is the definition of fine. I'm not sure how linking those stats is supposed to prove "otherwise". And again, like all champs with pick/ban status, there are a lot of unskilled players attracted to the new OP FoTM.

You said he scales. His declining win rate shows other wise with his agency over winning the march steadily declining as the game goes on. If he actually scaled his win rate would go up as time went on.

SirPurrr1 votes

He does scale just like any other champion and yes he scales perfectly fine into late game. You're playing word games and confusing the issue. To say a champion scales fine into late game is NOT in any way suggesting it's their strongest point.

Z3Sleeper2 votes

Disagree. Nerf something else about him.

I’m so glad to see the stupid days of “hurr durr horse is supposed to go fast and right click someone once for massive damage” are over. Screw Predator. Bruiser brawly Hec and top lane Hec are way more interesting to play as/against than the Nocturne wannabe horse.

Like, he has the complete kit of a sustain bruiser with good initiation that can just stick himself in the heart of the enemy team and playing that version of Hecarim feels sooo much better but for so long he was relegated to the gimmicky "hurr durr go fast, ram ADC, die".

Phase Rush Hecarim is pretty fun too

wasn't that a bugfix where nobody knew his Q should have even behaved like that in the first place?

I think I remember that mechanic but I also think I remember they took it out shortly after they patched it in because it made Hecarim too OP on toplane (aka the same situation he's in right now).

GayFluffyUnicorn1 votes

Hecarim isn't op in toplane, every other bruiser is just dogshit.

XJ999999999999991 votes

or nerf conq.
