MATCHMAKING is the WORST it has ever been

On my G2 account I've had even Silver 3s on the enemy team (and no not smurfs with some sick winrate). I've had Silvers on my team too many times and my MMR isn't bad according to op.gg. The matches are just ridiculously boring, stupid and frustrating whether I win or lose. There's such a huge skill-gap between players that it's not even enjoyable in the slightest.

I don't care if Riot deems these games relatively equal because it's not true at all. It's equal only in the sense that sometimes your Silver 3 will feed his ass off and lose the game for you and sometimes theirs will. It's not a good match either way. It's just randomizing the results and is just proof how badly DQ screwed things if they feel they need to have such massive skill-gaps. This was never the case in SQ. Until very recently, I'd never see anyone lower than G5 in my games and I didn't go on a massive losing spree either. These are not interesting quality games. They are absolutely awful for either team. Luckily, not every game has such skill discrepancy but those games should never have existed to begin with.

Why not post on the account if you want to discuss its matchmaking? We can only take your word for it that your matches are uneven, though I suspect you're intentionally not allowing us to fact check.

Maybe because some people like their anonymity? You can check yourself if it's true.

That guy is clearly hiding behind his own lvl 15 account probably just trying to start shit with people lol.

How would I do that if he doesn't share the account? I have seen many times that a player said matchmaking was unfair, yet when I check the match they were either lying or didn't actually verify what they were saying.

You can check based on your own games and the MMR variance or just look at other accounts. What is being claimed is obviosuly something general and recent not just exclusive to that account. Considering Scarra had Platinums in his Masters games when Riot tried to make queue times shorter, it's not that shocking.

Also it wasn't even claimed that it was unfair. It was that large differences in ability randomize results and are not fun. Think of it like if you get a Diamond smurf in a Bronze game on your team and then next game the enemy does. It's probably pretty fair in terms of winrate but if you're a legitimate Bronze player, your ability to influence the game result is diminished.

Try getting gold 4s in your Plat 1 promos. Getting destroyed.

Agreed, since the new patch, there has been a wide ranking range for my matches and the games have been absolute shit.

You basically have to dodge if it goes past 5 minutes or they will stick you with some of the most random teams imaginable. It's all over the place and doesn't make a good game.

What I have noticed so far is that I am getting placed against people with higher elo (which is NOT my main problem at all). The problem I have is that bascially the enemy team consists of ex dias and my team of ex golds. So basically golds who got lucky in their provisionals/spammend ranked are playing against ex diamonds.

Most of the time its a loss just because of their better understanding and decision making.

As a new player, Not Glad to hear the problem goes on into ranked queues.

I just had to add, only fully reading afterwards.

This is not a problem but, is present in all games. The truly skillful only represent a small decimal of the player population. The other 90% only win games sometimes.

I've noticed this sometimes, myself. Being a Silver player, it's pretty frustrating to realize that improving myself has gotten harder with the way the queues work now. Like, my most recent game. I was on a team with Silvers, and I believe a single Bronze. [Who was apparently Silver last season, yet their gameplay didn't show it.] And the enemy team was 3 Golds, an Unranked, and a Silver. I'm not sure if it's just me or what, but this matchup doesn't seem fair at all.

The main thing about Dynamic Queue that pains me is the fact that I want to get out of Silver. However, with the way this matchmaking is going, I feel like I am not going and can't go up the ladder, out of Silver. One game, I'm placed in a game with primarily silvers, with probably one Gold V placed randomly on either team. This I'm fine with, as if they're on the enemy team, I have a bit of a challenge for myself, to see if I can best the Gold player. [Which, unfortunately, doesn't happen often.] However, another game, it'll be like what I mentioned earlier on. It's just...frustrating and it's the very reason why I only play an average of 1-2 ranked games a day (maybe 3 if I feel good enough). And that doesn't truly help me in any way either.

I'm not even really a Solo Player and even I am starting to miss Solo Queue.

I agree this happens I was in the silver 3 rank as well then all of a sudden I started getting really bad teammates. I was getting people in bronze 2, no ranking people doing early promos for placements according to lolking. Literally people who were either 4-5 ranks below my rank or people you say no way they are in this level just the way they play. It gets frustrating when regardless of how you perform other lanes with terrible players can affect your rankings and lose the game. I had games where I would be 15/5 mid lane and bot was 2/20, jg was 0/8, top was 2/12 so we lose. I go to play another lane to try and hope for a better teammate but next game same shit except mid lane which I give up now loses hard. Or what happens a lot is a lane loses hard early than next thing you know you have 4 people pushing you lane down so you cant farm or get dived. I will admit I'm not the greatest player and suck it up now and than like anyone else but when you feel your constantly getting terrible teammates to the point your losing 10 games in a row regardless of how you play sucks. Makes you want to quit this game.

MMR for a group of 5 is adjusted when pre-mades are present, due to them having an advantage. I suspect this is the cause of some of the more severe mismatches people have been encountering.

You shouldn't be able to play with or against people with a deviation of one full division. The system simply doesn't let you queue together. So all these stories of player queuing with or against players a full division lower/higher than their rank are just bullshit or exaggerations. I was unable to play with my friend in Platinum V until I hit Gold V and once I hit gold I was unable to play ranked with any of my friends in Bronze.

I actually created a second account to play with some of my Bronze friends. And no, I can't carry them into Gold through smurfing, I am not that good and quite frankly they aren't either. It is a lot harder than one would think to smurf and carry a team. Maybe really high Elo players can do it more often, but the skill gap is tremendous. I enjoy playing ranked with them though. I really like DQ in comparison to last season, I always have someone to play ranked with and while normals are fun ranked games are more challenging and better test you prowess with a champion.
