All that trading means more W procs too and since you don't have to worry about waveclear you have way more mana to spend harassing too.

Well you see 5quad, Kassaroll has a ton of mobility making it easy for him to ward in all sorts of locations too dangerous for other supports. He also has that sweet AA reset on W to clear wards super fast, you can even take them out before they go invis all by yourself. His E is a pretty strong slow when maxed and don't do what I did and max Q, that shit does no damage.
But wait, there's more. We all know Kassaroll is the mage counter right? He has that sick passive. However with lethality being the new fad mid lane is full of nothing but AD assassins we gotta go find them mages. You know where the mages are? Bot lane. Gotta go and teach them a lesson.

Part of the reason is Crystal Sceptor slow and AP was gutted so DoT actually helps with procs.
Other reason is his voidlings are kinda useless now instead of broken so someone may have to distract enemy now.
His shield blocks cc so it helps harass bot lane.

The joke was that Malz got shifted from mid lane into a support, so instead of explaining why Kassaroll is a good support I just had to explain why he was a better support than mid laner.
Why Malzahar is played support doesn't factor in, it is a case of he is played support over mid lane, not of why.

I was a huge Kass fan in early season 1-3, and my two favorite builds for him was his old bruiser AD build, and his mana-tank build from way back when you could r stack then delete people at the cost of 1,000 mana per use.

Yeah guys, let's give him his silence back and watch him become pick/ban. Silences/blinds etc. are toxic to the game and should be kept at a bare minimum. Kassadin is balanced as of right now and does not need any changes whatsoever. He was even picked in pro play last year.
