Dude, you can literally watch Dunkey's last league video. One of his complaints are longer games and that was heavily echo'd by the community. The thing that sucked about 40+ minute games is the ADC decided everything.

It literally came down to how good your adc was compared to the other adc.

With that said I don't think a good solution to that problem was create a hardcore burst fiesta.
