There Is Literally No Reason For The Mastery Emote To Exist

There is no reason this thing should exist. Flaunting your mastery emote after getting a kill doesn't make you look impressive or cute. Oh woooow, you got a mastery 7 emote on your favorite one-trick after spamming him for a month straight? I could give two shits. If anything, it just makes you look like a narcissistic asshole who gets way too much of a dopamine release from killing a low health squishy. And now Riot is looking to capitalize off of people's egos with these new eternals. It'd be cool if we could just play the game without people manifesting their inflated egos into the game, but for this community it seems like too much of a stretch.

Riot is a toxic company and their balance/matchmaking teams have sh** for brains. There. I've said it, you know its true and there isn't even that much argument over it. Stop wishing/thinking the game is going to get better. You waited all the way through S9 and they just doubled down on the worst elements. Ban/shitgame dodge. Who gives a fuck anymore.

The problem with Mastery is that it's just too easy to cap it out.

I am a Bard one-trick who barely even plays this game anymore and even I have 9 champions at mastery 7.

If it was like in Dota 2, having maxed out mastery would be goddamn impressive. You get 50 XP to that character for every max, 100 for a win. Completing challenges specific to your hero gets you 250/375/500 based on how well you did on that challenge, and you get 3 challenges a week.

It takes 46850 XP to max out your mastery.

When you take into account how Dota has no surrender function and matches that last between 45 and 70 minutes, that's a fuck of a lot of time.

like you can use it as well + GJ on all chat every time when your team will do something good,trust me after 5 "GJ" peples will start tilt and or mute you or not and playing tilted.

Mind games. It has seemed to work on you too. I love flashing mastery. Usually for comedic purposes and/or BM. After a penta? Sure go ahead and flaunt it. After you run it down? Flash it for fun. I can't imagine how tilting of a game you have had to go through to make this boards post though.

The mastery emote is for the player playing the champion. I honestly find it funny and enjoyable watching it get flashed....on highlights because nobody ever flashes them to me in-game...Its only in the challenger videos do I see them. I like masteries personally, even tho they cost BE or champion shard for some reason. The emote is whatever I guess. I rather get a Garen-teed or You're Next emote. I've already seen the masteries in the loading screen, don't really need to see them in-game. Emotes are mostly cute, but the mastery emote is just a medal. I might just all-chat saying that it looks cool, I guess.
