Let's look at Ahri, Pre-DFG and Now

In patch 5.2, dfg was removed and to compensate, Ahri was given the following changes:

-Movement speed on her Q -Slightly increased damage on fox-fire -Removed damage amp on charm, increased base damage slightly (this was actually a NERF)

Now in 5.3, the damage on fox-fire has been REVERTED to the old amount, fox-fire and spirit rush range have both been reduced, and Q costs more mana. So here are the net changes for Ahri pre-dfg and now:

-Movement speed on Q (buff) -Increased mana cost for Q (nerf) -Decreased range on fox-fire (nerf) -Decreased range on spirit rush (nerf) -Removed damage amplification on charm in exchange for slightly higher base damage (nerf) -No dfg (huge nerf)

This doesn't make any sense to me and really has me annoyed, since I've been an Ahri main since season 2. It's fine to remove dfg, but don't ruin the champion at the same time. A movement speed buff is not worth all these nerfs and I would much rather play the old Ahri without dfg than this. In my opinion she was very well balanced pre- 5.2. It's almost as if Riot had it our for her and just used this entire dfg episode to mask the nerf. Just thought I'd point out this irrational move.

I totally agree wit you 100%!! I mostly play ahri because I like her play style, now with all these changes I'm just pissed. I cant even play her like I use to anymore because FF does shitty dmg now and I literally have to be in up their face now for to even hit. Idk what riot is doing but It sucks.

That MS buff is godly, imagine a champ that has poke that goes through minions. Now imagine if that poke gave them a MS boost. Now imagine if they already had an MS ability on top of that. You may want to focus on the small damage nerfs but you need to keep in mind how strong mobility is and why ahri is doing so well despite nerfs she can basically outtrade any mid laner simply because her poke gives MS.

Ahri is broken atm, right after patch 5.2 realeased her win rate became 57% world wide and also making her the number 1 list highest winrate, she can easily do a lot of damage while having such a low risk in lane

So much nerf to make up for a MS boost. Maybe should have tried tweaking the MS boost first instead?
