Let's look at Ahri, Pre-DFG and Now
In patch 5.2, dfg was removed and to compensate, Ahri was given the following changes:
-Movement speed on her Q -Slightly increased damage on fox-fire -Removed damage amp on charm, increased base damage slightly (this was actually a NERF)
Now in 5.3, the damage on fox-fire has been REVERTED to the old amount, fox-fire and spirit rush range have both been reduced, and Q costs more mana. So here are the net changes for Ahri pre-dfg and now:
-Movement speed on Q (buff) -Increased mana cost for Q (nerf) -Decreased range on fox-fire (nerf) -Decreased range on spirit rush (nerf) -Removed damage amplification on charm in exchange for slightly higher base damage (nerf) -No dfg (huge nerf)
This doesn't make any sense to me and really has me annoyed, since I've been an Ahri main since season 2. It's fine to remove dfg, but don't ruin the champion at the same time. A movement speed buff is not worth all these nerfs and I would much rather play the old Ahri without dfg than this. In my opinion she was very well balanced pre- 5.2. It's almost as if Riot had it our for her and just used this entire dfg episode to mask the nerf. Just thought I'd point out this irrational move.
