Look at this. Ten games into ranked and I'm silver 1, playing vs golds and plats. Every game. How does this make ANY sense? If I impressed you THAT much in promos, then at least give me gold. You want me to beat plats in order to advance from silver.
It's because of your MMR. Higher MMR means more LP gains and less LP losses, but also means you're being placed with higher tier players. IMO, this is weird because in your situation, with high Gold MMR, you should be in high Gold...not Silver 1.
It doesn't make any sense that you should be facing someone in Plat when you're Silver and if you have a high enough MMR to justify playing against them, you should be at the appropriate rank. The only time you should ever be playing with anybody in a different tier than you is during promos to that tier or Diamond+.

The system almost always places you in silver even if you go 10-0 in your placement matches. You usually have to climb to your proper position after that. As for the reason you're getting matched with golds and plats... I think the only thing we can blame that on is dynamic queue and those players MMR being much lower than it should be for that division. Either that or the premade groups are so out of whack that the MMR balancer has no idea how to deal.
Anyone's guess really as to the true nature of why this is happening. Personally I just look at it this way: maybe I really am so good that I deserve to be matched with those guys!

I'm backwards atm. I'm in plat facing low to high golds because my mmr flopped due to feeders+toxic peeps. Feelsbadman.
Due to this season's dynamic queue, not only is the system unable to matchmake premade groups of similar elo but, players of low elo have made it to higher ranks. So, some of those high gold/plats you're facing are either a part of a premade group that Riot matchmade with a premade group on your side(despite it having possibly lower elo players) or those high golds/plats simply have very low mmr and are in a rank that they do not belong in.
that could honestly be a 4stack on your team vs a 5 on the enemy team
your MMR is low enough (literally. silver 1 isn't that high, not offensive but in objective sense) to balance out the high golds/plats and enemy low golds/plats
This happened to me too when I was climbing my way from Silver IV (5-5 in my placements,2nd season) to Gold V (Gold II atm) It rebalanced when I reached Gold IV (ish) and matches you with similar golds, but it's still annoying to play against plats in silver

You just have high mmr and the guys in plat are probably like 2 games away from being demoted back into gold.
You are placed more off your MMR then your elo. Blah blah blah LP etc. I'm not an expert on it.
you are boosted too fast and get qued with higher tiers ,dont be fast boosted ,play safe
It's a bullshit system. I'm playing against diamonds and they are shoving bronze people on my team. And then they cry when I have to run it mid cuz what the fuck is the point.
