Getting ranked in BV after winning 6 promos of 10?

"He there person, we have 5 levels within 5 levels of players. Play these ranked games and you can rank somewhere based off of your skill." "Ok sounds fun." "Oh you performed better than average? Well we are going to put you in the lowest rank possible because we want you to spend time climbing ladders." "Wait, what?" "Play our game or die." "What the freak? PLEASE RIOT! THIS TURNED ME OFF FROM RANKED SO MUCH.

SUGGESTION: Get rid of divisions and just give everyone a place number as far as where they compare to other players. Then pull from the closest 1000 players or so for their ranked games. They can move up or down a simple ladder. Please change your broken system. I would be a lot more motivated to play ranked if, after winning more than 50% of placement games, I was ranked above 50% of players. But alas I am in "THE PIT DESPAIR!" and these chains are far too thick for me to consider playing on in ranked this season. Time to invest in another game.

How the hell do you equate winning 6/10 games at bronze ELO to being better than most people?

Ok lets say they really did play me with just bronze players. Even then I should have been ranked BIII at the lowest. I was BII the season before. BV means that I have to plow through all of the placements again. I have to play a bunch more shitty games to get back to where I was before.

Thats the point of a reset. Everyone gets shifted downwards. Ranked is competitive. It's not supposed to be easy

I feel you there but the caliber of players in all of bronze are just.... mostly terrible. Even if I had a 75 % win rate. It would now take me around 45 games just to get out of bronze. 6 (the one loss) to get to promos and 2 or 3 to get my promos done per tier. 9 x 5 = 45. I have no interest in playing hundreds of games in the hopes of getting to S3 or S1 just to get shut down next season and get pulled back again. That's not a ranking system to me. It's a system to grind players and wear people down. If placements don't matter then why do we play them?

Then just play norms lol. Ranked is supposed to be the hardcore mode. It's not designed around casual play

So people that have a 60% win rate (Which is way higher than average at 48.6%) Should be placed at the bottom of the barrel of the same ELO? How does that makes sense to you?

I won 7/10 placements and got placed lower than where I ended last season. It's not a big deal. I'll just climb back up

just remember the actual point of the game is to have fun and enjoy it.

here is a though about rank...

rank isnt something to be ashamed of. i feel rank is just a way for riot to put players of similar skill levels vs each other so they can have fair games and enjoy and have fun playing the game... hear me out...

you are bronze.. what if every game you matched vs plats and diamonds? and you get stomped up and down the map and the game is no fun to you.. are you likely to keep playing if that is what happens every time?

on the other hand if your plat/diamond whatever "high" elo if you playing vs people lower skill level then you is that fun not every being challenged? it would be like if you were to go play a game co op vs bots or a custom game vs bots and the difficult is set on easy?

how fun is that?

so in theory rank is there to put us vs people we have a chance to win against while being challenged so the game is fun and rewarding at the same time and keeps you playing..
