Getting ranked in BV with 6W 4L and multiple S ranks on wins

So how the freak does this make any sense at all. I'm so sick of the useless ranking system. It makes me not want to ever play ranked. Win more than half the time and get shafted to the very lowest of ranks. And with some DAMN GOOD GAMES. Last 10 Games: L - MF 4/12/2 - Yep, last was the worst game. (got booted from jg twice.... mother fers) W - MF 4/3/6 - meh W - Yi 17/4/3 - 5.0 KDA W - Yi 23/6/5 - 4.6 KDA L - Yi 17/11/5 - 2.0 KDA L - MF 5/8/1 - Not terrible for a loss W - Yi 11/11/10 - Not the best win W - Yi 29/9/5 - 3.7 KDA L - Yi 11/13/9 - Not terrible for a loss either W - Yi 9/7/4 - Not the best win

What I don't understand is getting 3 S ranks and an A and then getting placed at the bottom of the barrel. It really tells me that the ranked system is worthless. It doesn't care about whether you perform well or not. It just looks at where you were and keeps you in the same place. A CASTE SYSTEM NEVER WORKS RIOT! I would rather play 30 games to rank each season and really get a hard reset instead of pandering to where people were before. Base the new ranks JUST OFF OF THE PLACEMENT GAMES. Anyone getting S ranks and winning more than 50% of the time should be ranked above bronze. It's just a bunch of shit.

I climbed out of bronze in season 5. Then in season 6 I got put back in bronze after my placements. I climbed out of bronze again and got Gold. And I really, really, really suck at this game. There is no caste system. There is no conspiracy. If I can do it anyone can.

Secondly, your score does not affect your placements. Your score does not affect your MMR. Your score does not affect you LP gain/loss. All getting an S does is give you a chest and give you more champion mastery points. Besides that its useless.

Third, even if you go 10-0 in your placements you will typically be placed in a lower division than when you ended the last season. The reason for this is that the HIGHEST division you can be placed in at the beginning of the season is platinum. That means that all the diamond, master, and challenger players get placed in plat. Where do you think that forces all the plat players to go? It forces them to get bumped down to gold (and sometimes silver.) Likewise gold players get bumped down to silver (and bronze) and silver players usually get bumped down to bronze as well. To think that you would actually go up in ranking after your placements is ludicrous when EVERYONE gets demoted. You honestly should be happy. You probably only lost like 100-200 LP worth of progress due to the reset. There are some higher ranked players who lose 1,000 LP or more (and most players lose 500 LP.)

Please stop bitching about this. I promise you that its possible to get out of bronze. If I can do it for 2 seasons straight then so can you (I can't count this season because I was placed into silver this season.)

lol then explain all the people who get out of bronze and all the people who have multiple plat or higher accounts ?

Getting out is difficult af. No one gets out of bronze by ranking out during "placement" matches in a new season if they were there before. Placement matches mean jack squat. And you know what BV means. 1 in 10 players doesn't have a clue what they are doing or are complete blowhards. It also means that I have to play 50+ excellent games to get to SILVER. It is entirely screwy.

What are you trying to accomplish by this post?

Whats your overall cs/minute like? How many towers did you help take? How many baron / dragons did you get/ help get? As a bot/jg main (at least that is what you seem to be) you should have an active role in all of these areas. Not to mention that in many of those games you had 10+ deaths. That is a huge negative. You were bronze last season and this system works on a soft reset, where it DOES consider your previous skill and rank when deciding your rank. You only got bronze 4 last season, and the reset usually lowers everyone's starting rank by some (I was placed S4 this season when I finished G5 last season). Also, you need to help the team out, sure you got tons of kills, but was it off of your team doing most of the damage and you just last hitting for the kill steal? Out of all your games, the lowest deaths you got was 3, and that was on a "meh" game according to you.

Basically my suggestions would be to not die as much. Start taking heal as the ADC since ignite is more for solo laners and situationally the support and jungler. Having heal as the ADC really saves both you and your support from bad situations and can be used better than ignite and more often. You are the ADC, you have the damage, and you are not burst reliant like most solo laners who take ignite for that reason.

My other suggestion is to actually rethink your builds. Your Yi build should have some lifesteal (usually from item 3153). It will help you out a lot since you can really make use of the passive on-hit. And your MF build should start item 3508 not item 3072. You need the crit and the cdr/mana sustain way more than the lifesteal at early levels. item 3072 is not a bad item, but it should be your 4-5 item not your first. I would get item 3508 item 3087 (boots are your choice but usually either item 3158 item 3009 or item 3006), then either item 3072 or item 3031 or item 3036/item 3033 depending on the situation the game is currently in. If you are ahead, grab BT or IE, if they have a lot of armor or healing/health, grab an armor pen item.

An good safe MF example build would be item 3508 item 3087 item 3006 item 3031 item 3072 item 3033. Or look here for other example builds.

The only thing that matters when placing you is Winning or Losing, not how well you did or how bad your teammates were. Those certainly have impacts on whether you win or lose, but it is completely separate from being placed.

Please remember that not only were you Bronze last season, but you are also facing other Bronze players. Just because you do "good" against Bronze players doesn't mean you are doing "good" as a player in general. Put yourself against Silver players and your scores and W/L ratio may have been worse in which case you would have gotten Bronze anyways.

If you truly believe you are better than your Rank, you will certainly climb out of Bronze. If not, then perhaps its not Riot's Ranked system that is the problem.
