Salty Players = Less Players (AKA I'm done)

I have a love hate relationship with this game. Some people in the community are so great and others just suck. Not at the game necessarily. Just at being a member of the community. I totally get people getting mad about a bad play by a team mate. I understand the salt when that Kat has been fed and is tearing everyone up. I get it. I really do.

But when you start critiquing every single move of another player in chat and everything they do is a problem. (Ahem. Mids and Tops to JG, ADCs to Support), might I suggest that YOU are the problem. Of course those players are probably not reading this thread.

I just played a game as JG Yi. The player on my team, an MF, started berating the Lulu. IT WAS A BLIND GAME! Nothing at stake. Just having fun. The MF started pinging like crazy, telling the Lulu all sorts of stuff she was doing wrong as sup. Being way passive aggressive and a general... well.... douchebag.

So when I finally stepped in and told MF to shut up and that that's not how you help a player learning a new character, she got pissed and the first thing she asked me was "What rank are you?"

What? Where is the logic in that question?

"Excuse me sir/madame. You are behaving inappropriately."

"What country are you from?"

No no no my friend. If someone calls you out for being a dick, you are probably being a dick.

The rest of my team commended me as MF proceeded to tear me and lulu and vieg apart.

THIS IS WHY I HATE LEAGUE.

This is why I go to Overwatch, or SC or some other game where 12 year olds are not roaming and trolling the rift in 20-something bodies. Mute is easy and stuff like "ggez" is replaced with "I'm wrestling with some insecurity issues in my life but thank you for playing with me." (Now that shiz is freaking hilarious.)

And it has been like this for way too long. Since the game started in fact. It seemed like the tribunal was actually a good thing and it ended up nowhere. I judged quite a few games... But there is no outlet against the real life trundles of league now. There seems to be no retribution. It just keeps getting worse and it keeps pushing out the cream of a community and filling it with the dregs of the internet.

I already chose not to play ranked for the broken system (why it's not a simple ladder, to this day I do not understand... Actually I do but lets not get into that... I'm already cooling off of this rant and don't really feel like starting another). But when you continuously have these players who go unpunished and just saying whatever they want to people, Riot, then people, like myself, don't play or MORE IMPORTANTLY, BUY things for this game anymore.

You ruin the mature audience with the money by catering to the young wippersnappers playing on their moms laptop.

Go figure.
