i've only see it twice and both time the enemy team is a 5 mean group my bot lane got crushed when 7 mins

Brand support works the same way karma support does - brand support his a lot more of a harass/secure kind of thing.

It works with burst ADCs like jinx or graves.

Not good. Countered very easily, brand does not do very well without gold. You do get a decent power spike with the ult since it capitalizes in a 2v2 engage, but there's almost always a better pick.

From someone who actually plays support the majority of the time, I gotta say, I'm not sold on it, regardless of the "sleeper potential".

Sure, he has some damage and poke, so do plenty of supports (See Karma/Zyra, with more team fight and actual support potential), but that is all he really brings. His stun is unreliable in a 2v2 truthfully (you have to hit with another ability for it to stun, and outside of walking up with your E and getting massively poked out for doing so, it ain't happening if you are half paying attention), it is easy to predict when he is going to try and harass you and either harass him harder or back off.

He is sort of like a low tier cheese pick, or a novelty that wishes it was Vel'Koz support that I feel can actually work out.

op as fuck.. but you know what they are gonna do IF they do anything about it at all: Nerf the fuck outta brand mid because someone with a brain took him botlane! Remeber the Morgana and Zyra? when's the last time you saw Morgana and Zyra played mid? let alone CONSTANTLY played mid? and it's because they got nerfed ALOT for people growing a brain and playing them more than just mid.. but W/E rito dew wah rito want...

Zyra and morg are no longer mids because of their longer cooldowns on base skills. They are completely viable mid, however the meta is more towards spammy mages. Has nothing to do with nerfs, damage, etc. Brand isn't really a meta mid either for the same reasons: squishy, longer CDs, no mobility/escapes. Fun fact: good zyra ALWAYS does the most damage.

You don't need low CD's to go mid. you just don't. If low CD's are all you need why isn't Ziggs HUGE right now? it because you need DAMGAGE midlane, which rito removed from morgana and zyra. another reason why high CD mages arent big midlane atm is because rito butchered all the mana regen items and are JUST NOW getting back to fixing them. what chance does a mage without mana stand vs Zed, Nid, or Leblanc? (inb4 LB A MAGE TOO) LB gets to nuke for free with her Distortion with a decent CD

So the issue isnt CD's its DMG

... Morgana and zyra have GREAT damage. Morgana is a counter to basically ANY mid with the lockdown and CC block. If you haven't ever played zyra... She arguably has the most damage in the game. Why is she not a mid? Again: Longer CDs, no mobility, squishy with no real escapes. In teamfights she can easily be focused out. Damage is not and has never been a problem for zyra. Morgana is not a mid because: Her Q and W are both easily avoided, VERY ult dependant to do noticeable AoE damage in teamfights and execute, longer CDs give her no real sustained damage. Her shield is completely ridiculous strong, and it came down to the fact that since her basic rotation is too difficult to land/long to cooldown, other champions with high damage can benefit heavily from a long root and a shield to block any countering CC from them.

Ziggs isn't in right now because his point is to be a very siegey sit back and spam mage, but xerath does the same job quite a bit better while also having the inherent mana sustain ziggs really needs in lane. Now that they reduced the cost on Ziggs Q, we might see a bit more of him... But it's still Xerath > Ziggs

Morgana/Zyra doesn't have the Zed/Leblanc dmg that mids need to have right now else they get insta-deleted, which is the current meta

my botlane wasn't even ready for it. i look at the scores at like 9 mins in she had almost 10 kills it was pretty fucking stupid

It is a potential solution to a heavy enemy team (with a tanky enemy botlaner, such as Braum), if your team has enough beef to make up for having a squishy Brand support. The main problem with is that he needs items (primarily item 3151 and item 3116 , plus some hardcore mana regen, which is usually item 3174 ) to scale and keep up the constant %max health harass that is his main strength. He's not going to get that gold by playing support. Also, Brand has only one CC skill (single-target skillshot that requires the target to already be burning in order to stun) that's easily avoided.

As a Support, his build would be more like:

item 3117 item 3222 item 3116 item 2045 item 3165 item 3151

With item 3303 ---> item 3098 until you need to sell it for item 3151 .

He ok. But in team fight he doesnt have a consistent cc. His q is amazing if you can aim properly and be in the right position because the range is to short for me. Double champion stun can change the game around. But if you didnt aim q properly and used up all ur meep then ur pretty much useless until ur q comes back because u have no other form of cc. Annoying part is to have to keep telling your teammate to wait 10s before picking health packet. It makes me angry when they pick it early. Do they even know how expensive it is its like 100 mana and they decide to pick it up early.
